No, Hat Tricks, I didn't even know about such a fight, or rumors of a fight. I only wanted to know if T Bob played in the game. Just wanted to know the answer to a simple question.

T BOB

Hope this is not germans, but did T Bob play in the NC game?

Hopefully I'm at the game so it won't matter, but I don't like the idea of Herbie & Musberger calling the game, don't mind Herbie but hate Musberger. He never knows our players names, doesn't call SEC games normally, and is a Big 10/Pac-12 homer.

ESPN has the gig for the big show this time, and since Gary & Vern work for CBS they will not be calling the game.

I like the way they've owned LSU lately! Go Hogs!

I like the fact that the toothbrush was invented in Arkansas. If it had been invented anywhere else it would be called a teethbrush.
I think MSU can play some tough football, but I just don't think they are going to beat the Hogs. Little Rock can be a tough place to play. The hill billys just have a way of slipping by a visitor there. I witnessed two LSU losses in a row in that little stadium. Both should have been LSU wins. I like the cowbells, but I'm not so sure they'll bring back the 'W'. Hope you're right though.
Of course I do not want to fight. If I offended you, my apologies. It's just that I've lived here for almost 4 decades, and they are generally not as you described in your thread a couple of weeks ago. The part about forgiving you was just a lame attempt at humor. Have a nice day, and GEAUX TIGERS!

I’ve never posted on the Rant, but I have found it to be a fun place to go if one wants to get a feel for the pulse of all things in the Tiger nation. A couple of weeks ago, however, I visited a thread that was started by ‘Southernpride78’ which convinced me that it is time to lose my Rant virginity. I’m from LA, and have lived in Mississippi since June of 1973, so I know something about living among the enemy.
I have to say that Southernpride78, who said that Ole Miss fans are the most ‘down to earth’ fans he’s ever met either hasn’t lived here in Mississippi very long, or is an enemy agent trying to garner a little sympathy before we stomp a bloody mud hole into their faces this Saturday. If it is the latter, Southernpride78, it was a very dumb thing for you to do, because the rantards here will devour you. If it’s the former, your ignorance is forgiven, my son.
Otherwise, anyone who hasn’t lived north of Brookhaven just doesn’t understand the Ole Miss culture. First of all, they live their daily lives with the misguided belief that they are better educated than the rest of us, and demonstrate it with the way they carry themselves. They even have a different vernacular than we do. And, no it’s not a higher form of the English language. It’s actually a bastardized version of the way you and I speak every day. It’s very hard to express in writing, but you put me in a room with 20 or 30 people and I can point out to you which two of them are Ole MS grads. They’re just different in a kind of condescending way.
When their football team is losing you can’t find an Ole Miss fan, but when they’re winning you can’t find one who isn’t looking down his nose at you.
What university in this country do you know where the tailgate party attire is typically slacks, loafers, sports coat and a bow tie????... Ole Miss. It’s because they have more class than you, of course--legends in their own minds.
All of that having been said, academically speaking, Ole Miss is a great university. Their present and former students, however, just need to understand that when they take their morning dump it probably smells a lot like everybody else’s.
