Was on some back in mid 80's but can't remember the names for the life of me. Ended up meeting a guy in my neighborhood that hosted a board. Was cool to go to his house and watch on his monitor what people did when they logged in.
And I had a demon dialer program too that would dial random phone numbers to find a computer. If your phone rang at 3:30 am and you heard a computer on the other end, it might have been me calling......

I've had dealing with the finance office at LSU regarding some fiscal matters. The people in that department are awful. Would be better run by a bunch of folks with degrees from The University of Phoenix, DeVry, ITT, or any other school. Dipshits deserve it since they can't manage their own money.

Hell no. Tried this for a year. Yard looked and stayed crappy. Even sprayed my neighbors yard once instead of mine. Called to cancel and when told them that the yard looked no better than a year prior, the response was "well, you should have called us to come out and retreat it." Ummmm, what? You couldn't a tell each time you came it looked like shite?
Do I what I ended up doing: take camera photos of lawn and close up of weeds, go to reputable local nursey, show the hippie working there, and then buy their shite. Cheaper, better results, and less headache in the long run.

Need to run a HDMI cable from my wall cabinet to my tv that is above a brick firepalce. Have the RGBYW cables (old school, whatever the proper name is) but need HDMI instead. Attic and fireplace pain in the arse for me to get in so happy to pay a professional who probably can do it in 15 minutes versus my 3+ hours. Who in Baton Rouge do you recommend for this type of job that won't try to make their year off of me and what kind of bill should I expect for this?

I think they are called "flat jacks" and that people that were striking at the plants in the 70's or 80's would throw them in the road so that any strike breakers would get flat tires.
Just trying to give a reference point on the location. And agree it is a "wanna be neighborhood" that no OT baller lives in. I happen to travel that way and want to know what's going down. I figured some baller on this board probably has some kind of knowledge of this kind of shite since I'm sure they have their mansions swept for bugs and wire taps regularly. I promise you, there is either a scientific anomoly going on there or something illegal.

Heading down Bluebonnet towards the River just about the corner of Hillmount Street. Every day my sirius radio goes out for about a quarter second in this same spot. Never happens any where else in Baton Rouge except in a parking garage or under an interstate overpass.
Either there is some alien blocking the satellite signal there with some kind of electro blocking invisible shield or someone is broadcasting some serious illegal transmissions to a terror cell on the other side of the world from a house near that corner. Anyone else travel this route and have the same thing?

I have the following:
LG smart tv
LG Soundbar with wireless sub
4 speakers in the ceiling hard wired to an old arse receiver
2 outdoor speakers (again wired into my old arse receiver)
Apple TV
Cable digital cable box (wireless stream to tv via MYHDTV device)
I need a new receiver that I can plug all that stuff into and be able to listen to Apple TV/music inside and out, and also watch Apple TV on the tv. Complicating matters is that the TV is mounted on a brick wall above the fireplace. I'm currently using a MYHDTV box to wireless stream from the cable box (about 15 feet away) on a bookshelf with the receiver.
I'm not OT rich, so I can't drop a ton of money on this. If I need to nut up and pay someone in Baton Rouge to come and fish a ton of cable from the bookshelf to the tv, fine. Who is the best for the money (read won't rape me), and what receiver would you recommend?

Ok. I am OT poor and can't afford to buy a satellite and have the programming sent directly to my back patio. Or whatever a OT baller would have done.
I want to put a tv outside on my patio (I'm finally replacing a really sweet console tv that I found on the side of the road off Gardere) and be able to watch all the shows outside that I can watch inside on my tv with a cox box. I have a cable out there already so I know I can get the basic channels this way. How can I get the all the other channels that are both hi def and outside of the normal range (say, the NFL network) without putting a box outside?

Who remembers that big arse boat that was parked at the top of a driveway/backyard on Goodwood between Broadmoor high school and Sharp? Thing sat there for probably 10 years when I was a kid. Anymore know the story? Have to imagine some dude thought he would restore it. Would have pissed at him if he was my neighbor though. Story about the 65 foot boat sinking got me thinking about this.

My experiences at precision have been the same. Especially if you ask a question and they proceed to berate you as loud as they can for asking. I want to do some fishing from the beach this summer on vacation. My brother and I go down to gulf shores several times a year and want to purchase some gear. I fear walking into a shop down there and asking "what do I need" for fear of being arse raped with over priced crap.
What say the OB should I buy in terms of a rod, reel, and basic tackle? I don't know shite about fishing, but want to learn. I got the drinking part down without any problem.
