You can't split a wire off an existing box and run it out there?

Wireless HDMI.

RF Remote Control

*edit: connect both these to your cable box inside the house.

Which ISP do you have? My quality decreased when I switched from Cox to Uverse because of upload speed decreases, but it is still relatively good.

Do you mean download speeds...

I'd think he meant upload since it's gonna determine how fast it can get the information out.

I was thinking in terms of a local network..Upload speed from ISP would not matter..

Neither would download on a local network

I meant it in reference to this..

Maybe I misread the whole thing...I only meant that the COX upload speed would not affect streaming to a TV

Gotcha.

OP, like InVol said, you should check out the HD homerun devices. I have one attached to my network and my desktop dvrs from it using WMC. The one I have is limited, no DLNA and several other features (using a roku as a receiver/cable box), but after a show's downloaded MCEBuddy converts it to an MP4 (also cuts out commercials and names files appropriately) and sends them to a folder Plex monitors.

Typically, for a 30 minute show, it's available on my Plex server in 20 minutes (this will depend on your setup) and myPlex allows me to access my server on just about any device remotely.

Have you tried to find out if you can get bonded pairs in your area yet?

Never checked. You know if it's available in any part of BR? I'm currently on the highest tier that I'm allowed to select (Max Plus).

The idiots never even replaced the phone line coming to the house when I got the service installed because the pole is across a ditch and behind a big business.

You do not need a wireless service or any worries about your broadband service. If all you want is to get your cable box inside your house to transmit to your TV outside, use the HDMI wireless transmitter/receiver pair that I pointed out (any brand will do) and then you use an RF remote control (also any brand will do) to control your cable box from outside.

Nothing could be simpler.

Has been available out in Central for a while now.

Yeah, that's the highest their DS2 router can handle. I don't see mine listed but it was the tier just higher than yours (24d instead of 18d) and my uploads are a lot more consistent and typically close to 5u.

My field is visual communications and most of my projects re in the millions of dollars and involve command and control for defense systems and realtime operational control of subsea robotics and sensor management.

What I think is a simple, 10 minute set up might take the uninitiated 30 minutes, at most.
