Trout rig for a 10-year-old boy.
Posted by Nicky on 9/15/20 at 10:47 am
I'm looking for a good trout setup for a 10-year-old boy. Spinning reel and rod. Doesn't necessarily have to be a combo, but that would work. Want to get something nice, but don't want to break the bank. Looking at the Penn Battle II. Something he could keep for a while. Also looking at the Penn Battle II combo with Penn rod. To get a 6'6" rod with the combo, you have to buy a 2000 reel. I'd prefer the 2500, but that comes with a 7' rod. That might be a bit much for a 10-year-old. Any input would be appreciated.
re: Question re: peanuts/peanut allergies and Tiger Stadium

I have 8-year-old twins with peanut/tree nut allergies. We've never had a problem at Tiger Stadium. One year, I took them to an Astros game. Some peanut dust from the joker next to us flew in the air. It got in their eyes. They got red and puffy. A little benadryl, and they were fine. It's always scary, though. My wife gets super nervous when I bring them--especially to Alex Box.
