re: ESPN foiled again

When I watched sportcenter at 8am, Schad told me that Miles would go to Michigan if offered, and that Michigan wanted Miles. He said that both parties were moving forward and that he "expected this deal to get done as early as today." Whether you believe his "Michigan wants Miles" conjecture was wrong, or you think his "Miles will go" source was wrong; it did not go down the way ESPN reported it would.

ESPN was 100% right. My sources tell me the meeting went something like this:

Brandon: "Hi Les, how's it going?"
Miles: "Fine, what brings you to Baton Rouge?"
Brandon: "Well, we sure would like you to be the next head coach at the University of Michigan."
Miles: "Really? Everyone knows that's always been something of a dream job for me."
Brandon: "Well Les, if we offered you the position, would you take it?"
Miles: "I've always been a Michigan Man, and I have a real want to be your next head coach. Of course I'd accept if you offered."
Brandon: "Okay then, I guess that settles that. Even though we both agree and really want this, I think I'll leave instead of offering you the job. Thanks for your time coach."
Miles: "Stop by any time, and good luck with your search."

Shame on you all for not believing Joe Schad.
