re: Is Mike Delacano the worst sports radio guy in BR?
Posted by Texastiger1 on 10/20/17 at 8:44 pm to prplhze2000
Mike went to Lee played quarterback ( was only around 5-10) and went to state playoffs senior year. 1979 Defense had Albert Richardson (Lsu) Eugene Daniels (LSU and Colts) and Lenard Smith( McNeese? And Patriots)
Younger brother was Neal who played linebacker at Catholic, Ucla and was drafted by Cowboys. Think he got hurt and never saw much time in pros
I lived down the street from them and graduated from Lee in 78..

'Using Rivals as our guide'
I think we have found the problem. I am constantly amazed at how people live and die on a recruits star value based on a bunch of 'experts' who the majority of have never coached or played above high school level and are obsessed with numbers.
I know a guy that is 6'6, 340, long arms and can lift a house. But he can't block worth a damn. It takes more than just numbers and who else is recruiting him to evaluate a recruits possible talent.
TM7 would not be at LSU if the current staff had not ignored all the notes above and saw that he was a football player despite his 'short' comings.
You wonder how Boise state, TCU, Virgina Tech constantly finish in the top 20 with constantly out of the top twenty classes. That is how.
Screw all the numbers and what everyone else says about someone till you see them yourself.
You realize that most recruiting services were started by a bunch of guys that would have been at home on the rant being the experts of all things football that they are. Then they pull out their computers and try to assign a number to everythingto justify their misguided view.
Hell, we got all the numbers lets just play it on the game box of choice and forget about using real players......
OK, old man rant done now. Feel free to spout shite now.

This a great argument guys but where are you getting your stats from for Jefferson. Are you making them up?
(Jefferson's stats: 15-21 151yds 2TDs 1 INT and the LSU fan base has been losing their shite over the "poor" play of the QB.)
His stats for last night where:
Jo. Jefferson 8-20-1 96 yards 0TD's 1 INT
So unless he had 7 completions on 1 attempt for 55 yards aginst UNC something does not add?????
Jefferson played the worst game of his LSU life last night aginst an average defense.
You did get Cams stats right somehow for one game

Someone posted this before. By far this is the best site. Shows ALL models and tracks. It updates often and shows more information than most people can understand LINK

jlsutiger,
You might want to go watch the reply on Hatch and Lee today. I just did because I don't remember many throws to players feet. There was indeed 2 but both were by Lee.
Hatch tried to force 2 balls to Dickson. That was about his worst mistakes. He did not make any long throws except one early that Byrd got knocked off his route. Overall I thought he played well and did what he was supposed to do and control the game with no mistakes
Lee was a little shaky, made some good, some poor throws. Anyone could of thrown his long pass for a TD to lafell. Hw was so open you could of made it to him end over end. His biggist problems were some throws into coverage when he was fooled and not controling the game as well. In other words looking like a quarterback taking his first snaps in a college game.
Lee might have a better upside, but so did RP over Fynn. No mistakes is what we need and get the ball when needed to the right people.
Danny Werfull had a noodle for an arm but somehow managed to throw for a ton of yards. Smarts and poise are more important than arm strenght in college.
I think both will get better but till Lee learns to look off a reciver and read the defense better we are a much better team RIGHT NOW with Hatch.
