"The Olandeaux Alumni, Tampa Alumni and what used to be the Krewe of Ragu, set up shop on Stadium Rd. behind center field of the baseball field. O'Connell center was open for bathrooms. I assume we will be there this year. The band pulls up next to the spot and comes down and plays a couple of songs. Lots of DJ/music, food, and fun."

What time would you recommend getting there if we are in a RV? Univeristy says 6 PM Friday but I hear other say the lot fills by 3 PM on Friday.
Any advice???

Posted about this a month or so ago with little response so figured I would post again. Bringing an RV up to Gainsville for the first time, and I am looking for some advice. I know it is first come first serve lot, but I have heard conflicting stories for WHEN they open the lot. University says 6 PM Friday, but others have said they let people in ealier and it fills fast. Anyone familiar with Gainsville tailgate scene?

LSU vs Florida Tailgate

We got a crew heading up to Gainsville for the LSU Florida game in October. We have a couple RVs and we are trying to get at least one and hopefully two good spots for the game. Anyone have any advice on how to secure a good tailgate location in Gainsville? I have tried calling Florida to get help with no success. Any guidance or help would be much appreciated.
