re: Cowbells in the crowd at Texas

No cowbells anywhere around sec 3 row 32 seat 39.

And none heard or seen in stadium or Texas fans in Stadium club
Dak went to LSU camp and was grouped with the receivers by Crowton, and never looked at as a qb. Les came to Haughton very late in Dak's senior season with an offer to play QB, but was late to the party, as Dak had verbally committed to Mullen far earlier in the season. LSU at the time was going after Teddy Bridgewater, Jacoby Brissett and Rivers, and most on this board was discounting the talent of Prescott in comparison to the rest.

North LA really has produced some amazing QBs. With Prescott, Harris , and more in the pipeline, it looks as if it will continue

You are either young or recently moved to Shreveport.

You forgot a lot of memorable QBs

Bradshaw NFL Super Bowl
Ferguson NFL
Woodley NFL Super Bowl
Humphries NFL Super Bowl
Bobby Jackson NFl
Willis Owens NFL

All NFL starters although not all rated top 10 coming out of HS

YOU REMEMBER THE picture. Y.A. Tittle is on his knees in the end zone. This is part of the first line of that article. You'd think that the writer Seth Wickersham would have known that in 1964 NFL goalpost were on the goal line, and not at the back of the enzone.

He is in the endzone; facing the field.

NW Louisiana / KSHV
looks like my info was inflated from someone that was at the game; but still a great game, and he has the talent!
55 to 6 now and he has thrown for 5 or 6 tds. He left the game in 3rd.

Joe Delaney one of Louisiana's Best!

Didn't play for LSU, but should have. Long video but well worth the watch! Joe Delaney a good guy!
Delaney was one of the best, but he didn't play RB in high school. He played wide receiver.

He was a great athelete and track star in High School.

The third of Woodrow and Eunice Delaney's eight children, Joe Delaney was born in Henderson, Texas on October 30, 1958, and attended Haughton High School in Louisiana.[1][3][4] Discouraged by his father from pursuing his dreams of playing football,[5] Delaney became the starting wide receiver by his junior year at Haughton.[3] Major Division I schools that scouted him included Grambling State,[3] Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana State.

In high school, he ran the 100 yard dash in 9.4 seconds in high school and was on the Northwestern State track and field team, which won the NCAA 400-meter relay in 1981.[3] He holds the school 200 meter dash record with a time of 20.64 seconds.[8][9]

Haughton vs Parkway - Bossier Parish Rivalry.

Dish Ch 440
I remember all the recruiting experts on the LSU recruiting board laughing at me when I would bring him up. I watched him play many games in high school and knew that he had great talent.

Memphisplayer etal were downplaying him. If he would have gotten some early respect from LSU they may have gotten him. Les offered late and he stuck with MSU commit.

I still say he will be a better QB that Mett. Wish we would

Toshiro Davis was a loss, folks.

Watched him play Haughton twice, and as I've said before he has the look of a great player but plays uninspired and if you didn't know he had the"stars", he isn't noticable on the field.

I'll make a prediction that you will see last years 2 star Dak Prescott from Haughton do more in the College game that Mr. Davis.
How about the city with the best QBs?

Terry Bradshaw
Craig Bradshaw
Joe Ferguson
David Woodley
Stan Humphries
Josh Booty
Brock Berlin
Thomas Maddox
Willis Owen
Carlos Brown

All played NFL...some more notables that just played college not listed.

And I think I'm forgetting someone.
