re: 7 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day since my dad passed
Posted by BazookaJoe on 11/21/25 at 7:53 pm to toosleaux
Sorry for your loss. My dad passed in my early 20's, in my 40s now. We weren't very close, but I still think about him everyday. Just started therapy myself and she immediately recognized the loss and trauma. Trust the process, lean on those that are still with you and just know the days get brighter. Don't be afraid to talk about it with those you're close with. My kids had never met my father. They've always assumed my step father is my dad. Recently had a long talk with them about him and it took a load off my shoulders I didn't realize was there. Take your time grieving.

Lifenet health is one of the primary processors of these types of grafts. Some of the success of the graft is dependent of your surgeon matching the plug well. I don't work for Lifenet, but have experience on the donation side so I've sat through a few trainings on this graft.

France has always been on our bucket list. Both of our families are from France. We are into the food and definitely the wine. If anyone has suggestions in France, please point me in the right direction.

We haven't been to Bermuda. France was a thought we were leaning towards. We aren't the hiking vacation type of folks and it doesnt need to be an all inclusive.
Anniversary Trip Ideas

Looking for ideas for a 10 year anniversary trip. Travel period would be May of next year. Trip can be up to 9 days. We aren't opposed to Europe, we just weren't sure if 9 days is long enough. We would be flying out of MSY.

Highly recommend Henry & Hatchett. I believe they charge around $425. Didn't have a favorable experience with Gurtler Bros.

Heck, the higher brain can be dead with the persons brain stem still surviving and they can breathe on their own and their heart can still beat but they are dead.
This is incorrect and a common misconception. A patient can not be diagnosed brain dead if they still have brain stem function. The test that are performed in order to declare brain death include testing of the lower brain stem functions, i.e. respiratory effort.

I see some recipes call for grain alcohol. Any significant difference if I just use vodka?

Anyone have any experience making it? Got a good recipe? I figured it has be cheaper to make it than buy it.

Ralph's definitely does reception style gatherings upstairs. My wife had her bridal luncheon there. No quite sure of the price though.

If I have to hear Bobby talk about the "turnover ratio" one more time, I just might have to go down to Deanie's and punch Bobby in the face. He never has anything intelligent to say.
