re: Wish list

First let me say, I'm not really up to date with which OLinemen we have a legit chance at, however, I think judging by last year that is our most concerning need at this point. If you have no protection, you can't get the ball to these WRs whom you want to sign...

Yeah he's got solid stats, I'm not doubting he's good. But he's really all Pitt has to throw to. The next top 2 reception leaders on the team are a TE and RB. Their WR are pretty weak.

The end huh? I've seen many 6-5, 225 lb people who can run that don't do much on the football field. Gifted athlete, hell yes... Sickest WR in football, not hardly...
re: Corey Webster 03 vs Joe Haden 09

I think Haden is far better than Webster was at this stage in his career. In fact, I think Webster is actually a better pro than he was in college.

Well I do totally agree with you on Harbaugh. He's shown he can win big regular season games. Maybe not so much all the games they should win, but then again he is coaching with lesser talent. I also like Kelly but I think that we have no shot at landing him.

Ok see that's where your wrong... I don't throw out names that we have no chance of landing. I'm realistic, you are in this mindset that you just want to handpick any coach from any school, and that doesn't happen! And NEVER did I mention Gruden, or Del Rio, or anyone else from the NFL. I also have NEVER seen people bring up Applewhite or Muschamp, so its not like everyone is talking about it. And since your so big on proven coaches, I'd say there is a pretty good record of guys who succeed at the smaller schools, don't have quite the same success with a traditionally strong program.
And on a side note, Muschamp has been a part of far bigger things than the coaches you mentioned, none of which have been part of a national championship teams.
So get your head out of your arse, stop being your own biggest fan. Im just throwing out different topics because the last 400 threads referred to how god awful Miles is....

Wait are you saying because Muschamp hasn't been a head coach, that he would be a terrible hire?? That's frikin stupid. Every head coach gets their job after taking coordinator jobs. Not to mention he was already a prominent coach at LSU for a few years.
And I love the vomiting pics... Yall bitch and complain all day long on this site about Miles, but moan and groan about everybody else too. Im sure you just want Saban right?? It aint happenin, get over it.

Wow, I love to see the outstanding football minds on this board sometimes.
To the jackass who reads into too many rumors about him being fired at Bama, here's a link for you moron....
LINK
He never even had complete control of the offense their, didn't even get to run his offense. And he left Bama for another school.
I didn't necessarily say head coach, not yet anyways, but you idiots who don't believe Applewhite can run an offense are not well informed.

re: Only Ciron Black makes 1st team All-SEC

Chad Jones and Peterson are HANDS DOWN first teamers (Peterson should be 1st or 2nd team All-American). Although Ciron Black should not have even made first team. Hodge had good numbers, but Mccluster was a much bigger threat on that team, and often lined up at WR.

I would love to bring in Major Applewhite to coach the Tigers. Yes he's very young, but has experience at major universities and is a brilliant mind. Also, maybe more unlikely, Will Muschamp. You can't help but to love his enthusiasm and passion for the game. Always has his guys fired up and ready to play.

Yes, YESTERDAY'S saints defense could cost us, but thankfully we had a secondary filled with backups due to injury. Don't get so frustrated. And I do agree Laron did waaaay to much trash talkin considering his teams record.
re: M. Ford vs Hilliard
Posted by whodatnation on 12/7/09 at 11:34 am to lynxcat
Hilliard is in the 220 range, and much more of an all around back than a Charles Scott. Ford may be stronger, his bench press is out of this world. But Hilliard is very versatile, not just a big back. And he SHOULD NOT move to linebacker!!

So do we have a chance at signing Jeff Luc? I keep hearing no although we are on his list...
Knowing that we will lose 3 starting rotation LBs, we could use somebody who may be able to step in and contribute immediately. I've heard he is as strong and physical as they come, while not so fluid in the hips.
