re: NBA Bold statement thread

Their TV ratings will continue to decline.
I just read this whole thread and must say:
1. Iowa will get beat by OSU so this whole thread is pointless.
2. If they happen to win out, they will be in the title game over any 1 loss SEC team. If not, the BCS will look even worse and have more people calling for it to be done away with.
3. Is this Dukke character mentally challenged? Serious question. He seems a bit off and takes this all a little to personal.

also, money has indeed change the atmosphere in Tiger Stadium and not for the better. it's a sign of the times though and if were are gonna be prominent nationally, we gotta have plenty of dough. sometimes, i miss the old days.
I agree with all of what you stated.

Clearly, the impact you suggest exists doesn't exist, even for poor old Louisiana.
Keep telling yourself that while we continue to have empty seats after halftime on national television. Some even in close games.
I agree with your premise that ticket prices need to be higher to support the state of the program as it is now. Money equals better facilities which in turn equals better recruits, etc. Sad to say I do not think you can have both in the way of high prices and a consistently loud, packed TS. At least outside of the FL game I haven't seen it yet.

I think he was saying the game against Florida a few weeks back had a great crowd atmosphere. He wasnt saying that Floridas crowd atmosphere is as good as it was in the 80's. You missed this one.
Sorry. I agree it was loud as any. Not to sound like an old timer but I remember when it was that way for every game in TS. It has changed and you can't deny it.

please enlighten us with more conclusions.
I conclude that when people can't make a valid argument back they post emoticons and try to make fun at the original poster.

UF atmosphere as good as any since early 80's
Louisiana is a poor state compared to Florida.

I don't think everybody's gotten at that point yet.
Guess you missed the poll on ESPN where only the state of Louisiana thinks LSU can make it to the BCS title game. There have been a few very optimistic threads here too.

1. We have some pretty fair weather fans.
Last week we were destined for Shreveport and the Independence Bowl and suddenly this week we are ready to buy tickets to Pasadena. It is comical to say the least.
2. Corporations and TAF have killed the atmosphere of Tiger Stadium.
I actually agree with this one. TAF and the economic times have forced many people I know to give up season tickets. I am willing to bet money corporations get first shot at these tickets and snag them up.

Thanks, TAF.
TAF has basically priced out many people that used to make the Stadium so loud. Couple that with our recent success and you now have a different group of "fans" than we used to. I know many people that have dropped their tickets due to economics.

Everything. This is the last time we will play them in a while. This is..the end of an Era, too bad it is a whimper and not a bang but, they will make this count.
Man, you are on a roll tonight. You probably need to go to bed. I've heard the short bus comes pretty early.
Since when is Scott an outside runner?
Wow! I love this board. Makes me feel mentally superior.

Understandable. It doesn't seem the coaches have confidence in him. It has probably effected him mentally.
I agree. When is he expected to return?
We just need to get Kieland some touches on some outside run plays.

He is pretty damn good.
I am guessing you haven't watched the offensive line much if you think the running game is the only question mark we have.

Time is winding down. All USC needs is a few first downs.
Wouldn't that be funny?
