re: Boise fan thinks LSU would lose to the smurfs by 21

I think Boise is a terrible match up for LSU. I think LSU is a better team but they are not who I would want to play in the BCS Championship game.
What do you need to be able to beat LSU:
1) Poised, veteran accurate QB who relies on short timing routes
2) Defense who can stop the run
3) Experience winning big games
I think that Kellen Moore would be my least favorite QB for the LSU defense to face because of his quick decision making and accuracy.
I still think LSU probably wins but you guys are WAY underrating this Boise team and how bad of a matchup it would be.

That is not what he said he said it was a well executed play and all they got was 2 yds. Giving credit to the speed of GA D...LOL
You are correct, they did say this after the play. During the play they called it a "perfect pass." Rewind and listen.

They just called that dump off to Fannin a "perfect pass." IT WAS 2 YARDS. Verne and Gary need to go. So so bad.

Wow, I feel bad for Cleveland. Indians suck, Browns suck, and Cavs are about to suck.

LeBron's teammates suck

I know LeBron is not playing well, but his supporting cast is not doing ANYTHING. This happened last postseason too. They have no second option.

"Vandy and MSU both put up 31 points on ACC's best team!"
While those great defenses held GT to just an average of 49 points and 540 yards. How have the SEC offenses done against Vandy and MSU? GT obviously isn't a great defensive team but the offense is exceptional.

But your acting like this is a top 10 team coming to town. Reality is, they are a one dimensional offense and outgunned by LSU at every position on the field.
Being a very big fan of both teams, I can tell you that you are flat out wrong on this one H-Town. GT's D-Line is better than LSU's D-Line. Michael Johnson, Vance Walker, and Darryl Richard will all be likely day 1 picks in April and the other starter, sophomore Derrick Morgan, is at least as good. Jonathan Dwyer >>>>> Charles Scott, Keiland Williams, Richard Murphy. Imagine Scott with just as much power with a little more wiggle and MUCH more speed and you have Dwyer. Morgan Burnett > All of our safetys including Chad Jones. Demaryius Thomas would definitely be a starting WR at LSU this year. Josh Nesbitt > LSU QB, he is like if JJ had played all year long and were a little shiftier. The big advantage LSU has is the offensive line is much much better than GTs. I would also say LSU has significantly better cover corners unless GT gets Jahi Word Daniels back and then it is closer.
I have watched EVERY game both teams have played this year and can say with confindence that I hate this matchup as an LSU fan and love it as a GT fan. You are clueless if you think Paul Johnson is not a good football coach. He knows the flex-bone offense backwards and forwards and makes adjustments on the fly. There is a reason he was able to turn Navy into a consistent bowl team, the guy can flat out coach. At Navy he took over an 0-11 team, had to play D-1A football with no D-1A athletes, and managed to have success. Now he has the athletes. Paul Johnson vs. Malleveto is a mismatch of epic proportions.

Being a big fan of both teams (folks both went to LSU, I grew up in Louisiana, and then graduated from GT) I think LSU could score some points but unless there were an unbelievable defensive turnaround, GT will run over, through, and around LSU for 400+ yards and win in a walk (much like GT-Miami game a couple weeks ago.) GT has a great coach, a great scheme, and really good young skill position talent to run it. Jonathan Dwyer is like Charles Scott with an extra gear. He is going to be very special. He is a true sophomore and will likely be ACC POY on Wednesday. Paul Johnson vs. Mallory and Peveto will be a mismatch of monumental proportions. As an LSU fan I hope this game doesn't happen. As a GT fan, I hope it does.

The production will definitely increase next year. If you look at Navy when Paul Johnson took over there, they struggled a little offensively the 1st year and then got progressively better after that.
GT's experience with making the proper reads etc will be a bigger benefit than people seeing the offense will be a detriment.

GT is very good and are the youngest team in the ACC. All skill position starters are Sophomores or younger. They had no business losing that game to Virginia Tech. They will be really tough over the next couple years.

Georgia Tech would beat Louisville by 4 TDs. LSU would want nothing to do with GT right now. I think LSU would win but GT is good.

I was at the GT-MSU game and it was a vicious beating in all phases of the game. GT's starting QB went out with an injury on the very first drive and GT still was up 38-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter. You do realze that GT rushed for 439 yards! The only time MSU really moved the ball is when GT put in the 2nd/3rd teamers in the 3rd and 4th quarter. That is why Lee had more success than Carroll.
The drive where MSU made it to the 1, they did not shoot themselves in the foot. GT made a big stop on 3rd and goal from the 1 when a linebacker dove over the line to hit Anthony Dixon before he could leap over the line into the endzone. Then GT's 6'7, 260 freak of a DE with a 40"+ vertical blocked the field goal attempt. Here is a picture of that play:
I do not even know why you are trying to defend our defensive performances using the transitive property which is totally useless in football.

This Dyer Video is better. To my amateur eye, he looks better than Lache. Seems more versatile and has more power. Lache's video is super impressive too and I really want him at LSU but almost every one of his caries was a toss sweep.
I love how you say the video is not impressive because the competition looks bad. The competition looks bad because they are not in the same stratosphere as Michael Dyer. If the competition looked good something would be wrong. This video is sick.

That was terrible. What a game changing homer call.
