Wow blast from the past. Recognize mostly all of these artists in this thread.

Christian overtones without being a Christian band.

Some favs that fit the above:

Switchfoot
Needtobreathe
Wilder Woods (Needtobreathe's lead singer's solo project) really good stuff - soul/rock/folk
Judah and the Lion (personal favorite) - folk rock/hop
JUDAH. (Judah and the lion's lead singer's solo project, much more Christian themed but keeps it real)
Mutemath (from NOLA, electronic rock)
Paul Meany (lead from Mutemath, producer for twenty one pilots, just released his first solo album)
Mat Kearney
Drew Holcolmb and the Neighbors (Americana)

ISO 10 tickets for LSU/USC

Have done NY w my kid a few times. I would recommend ice skating at Rockefeller and the Lion King - get aisle seats as the cast will come down the isles. Those you'll have to book in advance. Check out a Rangers game, Top of the Rock was pretty cool to do as well.

WTB 3 for Sunday vs VMI

I did this promo when they had it back in April. after you complete your flight in sept, they will email you pretty much right away saying you qualify for the companion pass. however you won't be able to add your companion to your jan-mar travel until 1/8. you can go ahead and book your flight whenever and just add your companion later.
just had about 20ft replaced for $500, but that included teardown and removal of the previously damaged fence.

re: One Way Fee for Car Rental

most recently did this in October, rented through Enterprise where we picked up in Hartford, CT and returned in Portland, ME. no extra fee and the total cost was even lower than returning it back to Hartford for some reason.
following for advice... doing 3 full days in April and just booked the airbnb in Terlingua yesterday. Planning to do Santa Elena canyon hike and the Window for sure. may try and do the boquillos border crossing one day but interested to know others experience.

As others have said summit at Vanderbilt was a cool visit, my daughter enjoyed it. nice views of the entire city. i was a little annoyed by all the "influencers" taking up the windows with no regard for anyone else though.

catch a Rangers game in MSG! That was a blast. ice skating at Rockefeller in front of the Christmas tree is iconic and a must-do. one of my fav parts of the trip. FAO Schwartz is there too.

Harry Potter world, central park.

As for food, we did Sugarfish for sushi, Joe's Shanghai in Chinatown for soup dumplings and Chinese. Turntable for wings.

re: Yosemite in September…

Posted by batman on 8/16/22 at 8:29 am to
did 3 days in YNP in September last year. it was an outstanding trip, crowds were low i guess due to the season, but also bc they required vehicle permits at the time. but weather was incredible although a little smoggy due to the forest fires. the only real downside is most of the falls were dried up this time of year as well as mirror lake. nevada and vernal falls on the mist trail (not as misty this time of year) were still flowing but nothing near they are at peak flow. still recommend doing the mist, a little strenuous but worth it. made it to the top and relaxed for a bit to enjoy the views and soak our feet in the pools of water before heading back down. We took the mist trail up and john muir trail down for a nice view of the valley.

taft point (fairly short and easy but with incredible views) + glacier point (views of half dome) was our first stop and we hit that at sunset. highly recommend as was probably my favorite part of the trip.

Toured the valley one day (el cap/meadows), lower falls (dry) and hiked to mirror lake (also dry).

Did the mist to nevada falls another day.

we took our last day to tour Tioga road with stops in Tuolumne grove to see some sequoias, stopped at Tenaya lake for lunch (very beautiful and serene), and then ended up at Tuolumne meadows to hang for the rest of the day. long but scenic drive.

as for lodging, we stayed two nights in an Airbnb cabin in west Yosemite and then 1 night in the curry village tent camp. Def would've tried and stayed in curry the entire trip if we had booked sooner. they have everything you need in the little village... grocery store/breakfast cafe/peets coffee. tip: they have frequent cancellations so keep checking for availability if they are booked.

didn't see any bears :(

enjoy it! hope this helps a bit

Lease was up and they rather focus on standalone buildings rather than leasing inside others.

re: BREC basketball league

Posted by batman on 9/17/15 at 4:19 pm to
The Brec league breaks teams up into divisions based on skill level and experience so there's good competition at every level. You may have some former college/pros in the top division, and older guys and players with little organized experience in the lower divisions. Typically 30-35 total teams, 6-8 in each division.
great documentary.

didnt really eat sashimi before i watched this, now its all i eat when we go eat japanese.
