Farmers Meat Market on Scenic Highway across form Exxon Chem Plant. Best cornbread dressing and great bread pudding and cobblers!
re: Sammy's??

I'm a regular at Sammy's Grill Zachary. Never had a problem with the service and only one time with the food. The managers (Joel and Buddy) took care of that immidiatly when I complained. Also I've never grabbed a waitress on the arse so hopefully I'm not consisered a "douchbag", and I'm there 3 or 4 days of the week. If you sit at the bar or in the bar area the service is better because the most experienced waiters work there and they are aware that the regulars are what keep them in business. The food is good and consistant. The wait staff friendly and as accomidating as the crowds will allow. You seem to have the hate on for Sammy's for some reason. Hope you have a "blessed" day and a better experience the next time you try Sammy's.

When I was a kid my parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles would send us in to the house to get beer out of the fridge when we had a fish fry or crawfish boil. It was usually PBR or Dixie or Miller ponys and we would have to open it with a bottle opener in the house. By the time we got it to them we would have drunk about half of it.

I've been to the one in Orange Beach. Did not eat but enjoyed the bar. Its shaped like a boat and there wuz plenty of eye candy. Lots of Guidos

Is David L. bartending? If not I think I will pass on checking it out. Kinda too far out of the way for me.

Never cared for the food. Used to go for the Margarita specials at the bar after work. We would order hamburgers and they were pretty good.

Went once. Burger Pretty Good. But had to wait like 30 minutes for it cause waitress was too busy texting. Had to say something to manager and he got the ball rolling.

Try Sammy's in Zachary. Ive been a Sammys patron for about 20 years. Friendly people, and the managers go out of their way to help you. I just left there. Usually hang out at the bar. Try the specials. Ive only had to send one plate back cause it was over salted but they bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied. Lunch specials are really good especialy the chicken fried steak. Hope the dont strech themselves to thin with the new Central location.

Not since the Library Lounge closed on Chimes Street. I loved those muffs. They would press them on the grill with some bricks wrapped in aluminum foil. :wah:
