re: kitchen renovation, in progress

Blueberries just need to be halved or have the skin punctured. The skin holds the moisture in which is what you want to get rid of.
Attic foil brand is legit. I can't tear their foil without some purposeful effort and even then I'd rather use a blade. It dropped my attic temp a good 10-15 degrees which helped my AC keep up on any day. Easily the best couple hundred dollars and DIY time you'll spend.

It's super easy to install if you can maneuver (crawl/crouch) at all in your attic. I just ordered some more for another building.

Primary Arms - based in Texas, fastest shipping
Brownells - great customer service from the only time I needed to talk to them
I'm in south Louisiana. It's a flaw in air bags over time (a pinhole leak develops eventually). Is it worth 16k to replace it when it inevitably fails? A good coil setup cost 1k+any labor.

Buy what you want to buy and compare the ride on both. I wouldn't pay extra for it.
Besides the suspension having known issues in real cold weather like northern weather, dealer wants 16k to fix/replace.

I like my truck a lot, but I'd never get the air ride again.
I have had the Decked system and changed to the Diamondback hd. Decked is good for smaller or long items and still let's you have an open air height for larger items on top of the platform. No issues with it (items stored in the drawers are waterproof - items stored in the bins get wet) except I wanted more quick waterproof storage for family road trips that a dry truck bed would provide.

I ultimately switched to the diamondback because I wanted bigger water resistant (mine has never leaked) storage space that a full bed provides. The main perk is that you can still temporarily store items on top of the bed cover using the tie down points if you have a taller item or you can fold back or remove the panels quickly. I put removeable storage totes for camping gear or different have to have items under the bed cover to keep the gear together. I have a rope setup the length of the bed to carabiner the totes that keeps them from sliding all over the place. The second perk is I don't have to worry about exposing my stuff (think family suitcases or bags) to weather during road trips and the locks are pretty secure - but this can be had with most covers.

Either way you can't go wrong.
They had a voluntary recall on them awhile back. Might be worth looking into.

Why don't we share real information instead of opinions on what would happen in a fire?

Here's a very nice video...

As others have said you want to spend a little more for an Arsenal.

Molot Veprs used to be right around 800 before the import restrictions last year and were good to go, but good luck finding one these days.
I own both the Legion and a generic Nitron version. In fairness I bought the Nitron pretty used so some of my feelings might be due to break in. Whether it's worth the price difference is up to you ultimately, but the following pros make it worth it to me.

Legion Out of the Box Pros:
- X-Ray Sights are top notch - tritium front with high visibility ring. Picking up front sight at any time is very easy.
- Factory Grips
- Undercut is night and day better than the non-Legion; makes the chunky frame fit right into my grip

Nitron:
- Trigger is not much worse than the Legion; pull weight and grittiness feels close to Legion - likely due to it being well broken in when I bought it.
- Lack of undercut really becomes noticeable only because I have a P229 with an undercut
- Sig Night Sights are fine but are standard 3 dot variety.

P229 is shorter grip. The p226 is longer. P226 legion is top notch as others have mentioned. The E2 grips should fit on any model of the same line (p226 e2 grip fits all p226) as the frames are the same besides stipling on new production guns. I took the e2 grips off my p229 to use some G10 grips like on the Legion series. That's what I prefer.

Mag capacity is 15 rounds for each gun out of the box. Mecgar makes 18 rounders for the p226 that are only a few millimeters longer than the 15s (rubber base pad vs sheetmetal) and can add a plus 2 base pad. P229 can get 17 round mags with mags that have a plus 2 base pad.
Weber 32/36 is what you want if you're going to replace. Depending on what carb you currently have, you have to choose the right mounting kit. You literally unbolt the old carb, bolt the new one on, and tune the idle screws. You can buy rebuild kits for the Carter carb you have as well.

Having shot both 226 and 229 legions with DA/SA there's little difference. 226 grip is longer and narrower while the current 229 was built for a 40 caliber and is beefier all around. Depending on which grip you'd rather is a personal choice.

I like the 229 more due to it being what I consider a full size gun (fills the grip/all fingers with my glove size large hands) while maintaining shorter barrel/slide/grip. You can get 229 magazines with 15 or 17 (15s with a plus 2 basepad) - 10 rounders are for magazine restrictive states. 226 comes with 15s I believe but can easily get 18s with the same mag size. Good thing to note is the 226 mags fit (extend further out grip) in the 229s.
An interesting case about the act of picking up a gun when the police are at your door:

quote:

A federal judge decided the two deputies responded reasonably when they saw Angel Mendez, the sleeping man, reach for a weapon, which turned out to be a BB gun.

The deputies were liable for the injuries they caused, the judge ruled, because they had provoked the incident by going on to private property and barging into the shack without a search warrant and without announcing their presence.

In Tuesday’s opinion in County of Los Angeles vs. Mendez, the justices said the judge and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals were wrong to rely on the provocation rule. But they sent the case back to the 9th Circuit to reconsider whether the verdict can be upheld on the grounds the deputies violated the 4th Amendment when they searched without a warrant.

I really don't understand how anyone could argue the police have a right to barge in without a warrant or shoot a homeowner in his home simply because he has a gun, but I'm no lawyer.

I know I've reached and would reach for a gun when it's late in the night when someone knocks on my door, but I'd like to hear the OB's opinion.

Yeah I picked a new one up at Jim's right after Wilson took them off their website. I was lucky!
You're wanting a 92 compact with a rail basically? Those are harder to find. The Wilson 92G compact carry did not have a rail; so unless you need the rail, I would just get a 92 compact and send to them. There are plenty of those on gun broker.

Have you looked at the P938?

The dimensions are the same for the Legion so holsters should be compatible for a railed 229.

I have a Legion 226. I like it a lot but will be getting a 229 as well. The 229 fits my hand just as well as the full size. Great guns if you are willing to spend the cash.

The smaller controls, mainly the slide stop/release, are a lot harder to use for releasing the slide. I end up slingshotting the slide.
