The real judge and jury will set things right. Police are supposed to enforce the law and not violate it or exceed their authority. Excessive force is a serious crime under federal law and this sounds like a civil conspiracy....

From what I read, the veteran proved his innocence in the criminal case. The civil case is much easier since only a preponderance of the evidence is needed. A NOT GUILTY verdict is hard to dispute in civil court....
