The Asian population grew about 105%, to 21 million.

The Hispanic population grew about 80%, to nearly 64 million.

The Black population grew 31%, to 45.4 million.

In Texas, for instance, Hispanic residents now officially make up the largest share of the state's population, the Texas Tribune reports.

"The new population figures show Hispanic Texans made up 40.2% of the state's population last summer, barely edging out non-Hispanic white Texans, who made up 39.8%," per the Tribune.

Of note: The U.S. is still predominantly white, with growth of 19% between 2000 and 2022, to nearly 252 million.
A Catholic priest, Father Edward Beck, came on CNN on Christmas to say Jesus was a persecuted Palestinian -- and that the story of his birth contains parallels to what's going on in the Middle East.

He said the story of Xmas was actually one of a "Palestinian Jew" -- noting how extraordinary it is to hear those 2 words put together. Father Beck went on to say JC was born into an occupied country, and that his mother and father (Mary/Joseph) were forced to flee into Egypt as refugees ... which is technically correct, as far as the Bible's concerned.
Dawn Fay, operational president for talent solutions and business consulting at Robert Half, said in an email that the survey also asked hiring managers their top concerns when evaluating a candidate’s resume: 77% named job hopping.
Wayfair’s CEO has an end-of-year message for employees of the online furniture company: Don’t shy away from doing more work and blending your work with your life.

“Winning requires hard work. I believe that most of us, being ambitious individuals, find fulfillment in the joy of seeing our efforts materialize into tangible results,” CEO Niraj Shah said in a note to employees earlier this month celebrating the company’s recent success. “Working long hours, being responsive, blending work and life, is not anything to shy away from. There is not a lot of history of laziness being rewarded with success.”

Shah also encouraged Wayfair employees to think of the company money they spend as their own and negotiate prices.

“Would you spend money on that, would you spend that much money for that thing, does that price seem reasonable, and lastly — have you negotiated the price?

Bethlehem Cancels Christmas

Posted by CaddoTiger64 on 12/21/23 at 2:06 pm

Church leaders in Bethlehem and across the Holy Land have decided to mute Christmas celebrations this year due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Bethlehem usually comes alive at Christmas. Not this year. In the Holy Land, celebrations have been canceled: no parades, no bazaars, no public tree lightings.
“I am also going to indemnify our police officers. This is a big thing, and it’s a brand new thing, and I think it’s so important. I’m going to indemnify, through the federal government, all police officers and law enforcement officials throughout the United States from being destroyed by the radical left for taking strong actions against crime.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham defended former President Trump's border policy as he shrugged off remarks that undocumented immigrants were "poisoning the blood of our country."

"We're talking about language. I could care less what language people use as long as we get it right," said Graham, while attacking President Biden's border policy.

Trump also told the crowd on Saturday that immigrants “from all over the world” are “pouring into the country,” reiterating a phrase he used previously that sparked outcry from the Anti-Defamation League.

“They’re poisoning the blood of our country. That’s what they’ve done,” Trump said. “They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America … but all over the world. They’re coming into our country, from Africa, from Asia, all over the world.”
Tying this into NIL and Paying Athletes in the future. This may be a litmus test on where top Recruits and top Transfer Portal players go in the future. If coaches don’t wear that type of shirt, then they are not “down with the cause”. Whatever happened to playing for the love of the school. They’d become legends and never have to buy a meal in Louisiana again and always be hired for a job.
“Justice, opportunity, freedom, equality, NFL.” Does this appeal to this generation of athletes and recruiting Free Agents. Never seen this before.
Thanks for the heads up. Didn’t know.
Visiting the Grandkids and will surprise them with tickets to game. Will this game be a sell out or should I wait until game time to purchase?
