Breaking the rules ...

Posted by bominicious on 10/20/11 at 8:23 am
When is someone who works for LSU going to get suspended or fired for breaking the rules regarding the dissemination of confidential information? Privacy rules are obviously being disregarded.

Either you people with your "sources" are ALL liars or somebody who works for Les Miles and the LSU Football team or the LSU Athletic Department or Chancellor Martin has chosen to disregard privacy policies regarding student athletes.

Since I am a gambling man; here are the odds I would out on the potential offenders:
Les' direct report/hires on football team:
999:1
LSU football staff not hired by Les:
2:1
LSU Football player:
Starter - 999:1
2nd Team - 99:1
Future transferee still on team - 2:1
LSU Athletic Dep't/TAF:
Real Friend of Les - 99:1
"friend of les" - 1:1
people that were involved in hiring Curley Hallman that someone still have something to do with LSU Athletics - 1:9
LSU Administration officials :
1:99

In this gamble, I would place a $3 bet to win $1.11. But, obviously, i would only place that wager in a fully licensed casino regulated by several layers of gov't beaurocracy which offered odds on such a bet. And I would report the winnings on my tax return.

Because I am a good American who pays attention to all of the laws in this land.

Sarcastically yours,
JL Smith

p.s. "spice" is the stupidest shite since bathtub gin.
My goal for this thread has been accomplished:

quote:

Honestly, my younger brother was an all state soccer player in hs and played LB and kicked off for the football team. He is starting to practice kicking this week and if he does well he told me he will try out. I will be surprised if he actually makes it, but I know in hs he could kick it to the goal line and sometimes 2-3 yards into the endzone.

ETA: He is a junior now, 6'0" 200lb, and is stronger than he was in hs, but I know there is no way he is in good cardio shape. But as a kicker I am not sure how great of cardio shape you need to be in anyway.

ETA2: Wow, just read the entire thread and it looks like I just copied someone elses post and reposted. But my brother is seriously starting to practice this week.

I am a former all state soccer player but it doesnt translate as well as you think. I could kick a soccer ball 70+ yards and a football farther than most but the follow through, foot placement, walk up are all different.

quote:

Thats true but if it is someone like me who hasnt played soccer competitively in 2 years and has never played football before it will take a while.

Big Lake - either you are writing checks your arse can't cover, or you seem to be exactly the type of person that I knew existed on the LSU Campus.

Get off of your arse and start kicking some footballs.

I'm pretty sure if someone shows up at the LSU Football office and can kick a football into the end zone, with decent hang time, they will be suiting up for the Tigers sooner rather than later.

it would take a year or two of practice to be consistent enough to kick for LSU

I am a former all-state soccer player who played both D1 soccer and football in college. It took me about a week to make the transition before I was kicking it to the goal line on kickoffs.

If the girls soccer team goalie has a strong enough leg to get a look from the LSU Football team, I know there are dozens of Male LSU Students who can kick the ball into the end zone on a kickoff.

IF YOU ARE A SOCCER PLAYER THAT CAN KICK THE CRAP OUT OF A BALL, PLEASE GO KNOCK ON COACH MCGAUGHEY'S DOOR AND ASK FOR A TRYOUT.

IF YOU KNOW A SOCCER PLAYER THAT CAN KICK THE CRAP OUT OF A BALL WHO CHOSE DRINKING AT LSU OVER COLLEGE SOCCER, GET HIM OFF OF HIS BUTT AND DOWN TO COACH MCGAUGHEY'S OFFICE.

And if nobody fitting this description shows up, McGaughey needs to go find one. Call the Jesuit Soccer coach. Call the Catholic High Soccer coach. Ask them about their former players. Call the Newman Soccer coach and ask him who this kid is and if he is at LSU right now:

This problem has an easy solution, it just requires someone who played Futbol.
