we make the schedule and chose to play the majority of our road games late in the season, so that we would be able to blame injuries

the original Big 12 died for the same reason the SWC died. the "haves" looked around and saw other conferences making a shite ton more money. equal revenue and a shitty network wouldn't have fixed that.
