The National Museum of Health & Medicine is a bit out of the way but criminally underrated. Tons of interesting exhibits and completely free.

Seconded French Market Bistro.

Sullivan's steaks are nothing special. The building shares a lobby and bathroom with an extremely ghetto nightclub as well. Make of that what you will.

I cant believe yall are falling for this.

Desantis will just be the new Trump. They will just label him a fascist and a White evangelical that hates women and gays. Its too easy for the democrats.

They're already calling him all that and more. He's young, charismatic, and has nowhere near the baggage Trump has. After winning the gov race by 20% compared to 2018's 0.6%, I'm eager to see what he does with that momentum.

Thai.

Thai Pepper is great but they never opened back the buffet after Covid. Thai Kitchen has never been a good option, IMO and they also got rid of the buffet. Rama was the best, I sure do miss it. We need a couple of Thai places like they have in Florida panhandle beach areas. They do tons of to-go business and the food is great.

I wish we had more Indian options in south EBR. All the Indian restaurants are clustered around Coursey.

There's Duang Tawan on Sherwood Forest at Coursey. I haven't been in probably 5 years, but I remember it being pretty good.

If you're at all into history or aviation, the 8th Air Force Museum just off I-95 is fantastic. 2 hours should get you through everything.

Kinda sad there aren’t more women comediennes in these lists.

Being funny is a prerequisite to being a comedian.
Costco is the best by far.

Red Zep is sysco goyslop.

re: Capicola

I ordered capicola from Anthony's and what I got was closer to mortadella than anything else. I picked some up from Meatatory in Prairieville and it was alright. I wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning and it wasn't as dry as I prefer. It's definitely better than the vacuum packed stuff but it doesn't really compare to the real deal.

I've been meaning to try Nor Joe and Terranovas in NOLA but haven't had a chance yet.

Townsend is just outside of Gatlinburg. You'll have peace and quiet, but can still easily drive into Gatlinburg for tourist fun.

Townsend is great. The area around Fontana Dam is a little further out but also quiet.

Updated OP to add a fourth shooting on Old Hammond overnight.

Heard about 20-30 consecutive shots on the other side of Millerville just after 1am.
I used to work for a popular Italian restaurant in BR that's since closed. We had a regular group of gypsies that would come in. They'd always pay with cash, always have weird food requests, and their kids would always leave half the restaurant a mess. They always tipped about 20% though.

After a few time you could start to spot them pretty reliably, mainly by how they dress and the jewelry they wore. It was almost exclusively women with multiple children, rarely any men. They definitely weren't the worst customers we had.

If you've ever seen someone playing an obviously fake violin in a parking lot, they're gypsies. It's some sort of organized effort, as I've seen them in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and Jacksonville, FL at nearly the exact same time.
Don't see any reason to go there instead of FRC personally.

$20 all-day at FRC vs $22/hr at RUSA and no tarded rapid fire, drawing, or target rules.

Something similar to this happened in maybe the 80s or 90s...maybe foreign exchange student on Halloween. Wrong house and got shot.

Yoshihiro Hattori in BR. Shooter beat the criminal case but lost the civil suit. Rodney Peairs doesn't have a pot to piss in now.
