re: Are LSU Coaches' Contracts Public Record?

It's a public university making all contracts public information under state law. Contracts are posted on LSUsports.net. When the media makes it seem like they went above and beyond to get a copy of a contract, all they did was click the same link you can click.

Just got back from a golf trip there. Played 36 the first day and 18 every day for the next 4 days.
I played at TPC Sawgrass... Dye's Valley Course and Stadium Course. Obviously if you can get on, the Stadium Course is worth the experience. Even took the drive down to Orlando and teed it up at Bay Hill with a friend who is a member.
At WGV, I would play the King and Bear. It was in fantastic shape and has a great layout. Greens were in great shape and rolled fast. The only drawback was the restaurant didn't open until 11am... so if you are playing early and want a quick breakfast, pick it up in the way to the course. Staff is incredible and very helpful.
I did get to see Slammer and Squire at WGV. It looked equally in good shape, but they were having a women's member tournament that day and getting ready for Bill Murray's big annual Caddyshack tournament later in the week... so I didn't get to play there.
Make sure you have some time to go through the World Golf Hall of Fame. It didn't disappoint with the all the history of the game and the memorabilia. Some awesome stuff to see and experience in there. Definitely worth a few hours of your day.
Take the drive about 25 minutes south of St. Augustine to Palm Coast and play at Hammock Beach's The Ocean Course. A Nicklaus design that has 6 holes along the Atlantic Ocean or influenced by the winds coming off the ocean. The course was in perfect shape. There wasn't a blade of grass out of place on The Ocean Course.
Also, there is St. John's Golf and Country Club. It was in good shape also... with a few areas that were still recovering. Should be a healed up by the time you are saying you will be there. Wide fairways, but still a challenging course. Greens were pure and rolled fantastic. Only issue where was pace of play was little slower than I like... but it is what it is sometimes. Took about 4:45 to play 18.
Hope this helps.

2012 Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.5
I've used it for quite a long time and don't see a reason to change right now... not saying it couldn't happen.

Have to agree with Gulf Shores Golf Club... a hidden gem and always in good shape when I've played.
I'm also a fan of Craft Farms... Cotton Creek side is a little tighter while Cypress Bend is more wide open.
The couple of times I played Glenlakes it was in pretty good shape and had some interesting holes.
And, a little less than an hour drive to Fairhope is Rock Creek Golf Club. I've enjoyed that course a lot.
Then there are the standards... Kiva Dunes and Peninsula. Play Kiva in the morning before the winds off the Gulf kick up.

Bumping this back up to the top to say... what if I told you that your input here could help inform a process that is underway to look at improving the AGT?
Phase 1 has been completed which was looking at conditions, appearance, and playability of trail courses and what might be needed at each.
As I said, your input as someone who plays and knows about the game would help inform the next phases of this process.

Apologies for delay in responding... life gets in the way sometimes...
I use the Arccos Caddie system. I have been using it for a little more than 2 years now. The biggest help I have found is that after playing only a few times a year while I raised my kids... I don't hit the ball as far as I used to when I played 6 days a week.
Since using the Arccos system and learning more about my current game, I have dropped my HCP from a 14.2 to a 6.1 in two years. I'm pleased with that.

There are a few things I'll be working on...
1) Bettering my driver swing to increase distance and FIR. Currently averaging 262yds off the tee and hitting 48% of fairways. I lose 2.1 strokes per round due to driving and want to reduce that.
2) Improve consistency with my approach shots. I only hit 40% GIR. This may come down to better club selection since 34% of the time I come up short and need to chip... or it may be inconsistent ball striking.
3) Get a better feel with my putter. I average 31 putts per round and pick up 0.1 strokes per round... but I just want to feel like I am putting better.
4) Walk more... especially in the spring and fall when the risk of a heat stroke death is not as high.

Audubon Golf Trail - Good, Bad & Ugly

I am new here... but have been reading this board off and on for a few months. Some of the topics have been very interesting so I registered and wanted to get involved.
I've played every course on the Audubon Golf Trail... and just wanted hear from other golfers I don't play with often about their thoughts on the courses, conditions, operation of the trail, what you would like to see with the trail, what needs to change, etc.
I've wondered if they have the ability to offer a trail card or loyalty card program where the more times you play, you can earn free rounds or points for discounts in pro shops... something like that.
Would love to heard your points of view.
