I am glad to see that reality is finally settling in for the LSU fanbase. You are not getting Lincoln Riley. To think that you could steal a top 3 coach in college football from a blue blood program is and always was insanity. Bruce Feldman has made a career on his connections and reporting. This Industry is literally his job. He broke the news last year taht Lincoln Riley was getting an extension. It is amazing that some of you still believe that he is making this up or is totally wrong, when history has proven that he has very much been right almost all the time. He has been very clear and has said over and over that it is not happening.

Look at recent coaches that have Been hired by big programs. Ohio State Promoted Ryan Day from Within. Auburn took a risk on a a non power five coach. Texas hired OC with a past resume as a coach that was mediocre. You are not getting the "white whale". You are getting a tadpole. Your AD tried and failed to hire a big name. Your previous DC is your best bet. But I think Mark Stoops and O'Brian are realistic options as well.

it is weird that LSU fans actually believed some "white whale" was coming when no other school has really ever made that kind of hire. Your expectations are way off base and I think most of you are coming back down to reality now.
