Been on the market for 15 days with no activity.
Currently 5%
What ever gets real estate moving again
Looking at about $200,000.00 in proceeds

Buying rental property with 401K or IRA

Building a new house and trying to sell current house. Traffic has seemed to come to halt on house sales. Was wondering if the following plan is doable:
Sell current house to IRA or 401K for $299,000.00
Turn house into rental for 2 or more years at $3,000.00 per month.
When market or interest rates get better sell house and put money back into the market.
Trying to get money for house and avoid capital gains taxes when I sell it later. Profits are planning on being put into new construction house.
What are opinions on this plan?

Moved here from NOLA 2 1/2 years ago. Honestly, I don’t think I would desire to live anywhere else. About to build a forever home on Bayou Bernard in Gulfport. The wife’s parents have retired and moved from Mandeville. Her sister bought a weekend beach house in Long Beach. I like the fact that it seems as though life slows down a little bit here so you can enjoy it. The coast is on fire with growth. Now hopefully Gov Revees can pass no state income tax. ??

I agree he did a lot with what he could. Unfortunately or fortunately depending who is the president not much can happen short of executive orders. I think if we had no deep state there would be no state department at all. It’s just that deep and swampy. I know he loves America and her people deeply. Here’s hoping to what he does next can truly have an impact.
