Miami’s coaching search isn’t going well. And the program has ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Sheeesh. Obviously not surprising, i mean it is Miami. But still, that’s not a good look for the program to be associated with Jeffrey Epstein.

I don't believe in God or that story about a virgin getting knocked up and I'm not interested in reindeer or lights or sexual predators going door to door singing that Fa La La La La La song. No, to me November/December is about two things: gambling on Bowl games you've never heard of & listening to diehard fans with GED's & tinfoil hats connecting dots and breaking news based on tracking flights.

It's amazing what you can uncover armed only with internet access, morbid curiosity, plenty of free time, and copious amounts of Mountain Dew but it helps to get the tail numbers right if you're going to announce that ________ is a done deal 2-3 times/day based on where some random plane is going.

I always thought the Mississippi River started up north and ended down south (just like abortions) but I guess I must be mistaken since apparently 7-year contract extensions that start in Baton Rouge are ending up in Minnesota.

I’m talking of course about the news that Coach PJ Fleck agreed to a seven year deal with Minnesota. When I heard, I was so mad I could spit. I thought “That shifty SOB played us. The L in LSU stands for Leverage. Fleck off! Coach O would never have done something like that.” And Fleck is his own agent like so this wasn’t some Jimmy Sexton move. He did this all by himself.

When I calmed down and sobered up, I realized this is exactly why he is THE GUY. This is the kind of ingenuity, creativity, and smarts we need. Coach O is playing Tic Tac Toe (but thinks he’s playing Connect 4) and Fleck is playing 3D chess. He used us to get 7 years just like Joe Brady used us to get to Carolina.

Just because he signed a new deal, doesn’t mean he’s off the market. My 2nd wife Kristi had was in year 2 of a lifetime deal with a cholo named Jose when we met. You think I let that stop me? Hell no. When you know what you want, what you have to have, you sack up and put your chips on the table and take it. You go throw your whole wad of singles on the stage, max out your credit card taking fancy weekend trips to Myrtle Beach and Branson and hang onto her for dear life.

It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t cheap. But was it worth it? Would I do it again? Yep. Time for LSU and Woodward to go hit the ATM and put some serious cash and years on the table. Champagne room, throw a skirt over the security camera, anything goes type of money.

The question is how much and how long? Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

I’d start at 11 years, $66 million with incentive to add 2 years/2 million for every national championship.

My brother-in-law (who works from a specialty shipping company) told me he had an inkling PJ Fleck was in the mix at LSU. Hadn't heard Fleck mentioned by anybody credible. Assumed he was full of it, til he sent me this screenshot of a request for shipping estimate he got this week. And this got my attention.

I figured there would've been rumors or somebody would've been on this before now if he actually is in play but I don't know? Trying to think of another reason he'd need to ship a boat to Louisiana in December and I got nothing.

Looked up Fleck's house and it's on a lake in Minnesota so makes sense that he'd have a boat. It's a $15K boat too. Ridiculous amount to spend on a boat that you have to do all the work to move. But I guess when you make close to $5M/year, you just buy whatever you want.

I don't wanna get my hopes up but he'd be a grand slam hire. Hell of a coach and recruiter, the kind of guy who'd clean up O's mess quickly, and he's only 40 so he should be around for a long time. Give him $8M and a Mastercraft and he can leave the dingy up there in Big 10 country.
