I know this won't be a popular opinion here but I think all the ongoing searches today just put a spotlight on what an accomplishment it was for Bama to get Saban.
Not so much of an accomplishment, but more because the Bama job was open at the same time Saban wanted to come back to college football. timing is what got him, not some outstanding accomplishment. no disrespect to the load of cash that came with it.
recap? what's the story in the link?
Any coach who has the Lesticles to call a chop block on an All-American DT set to make MILLIONS because his Oline is getting their fricking asses handed to them is the coach for me.

10 years???
Man, you guys'll buy anything. Are you aware that State Law prohibits a contract of more than 5 years? CANT BE TRUE. People should check some facts before they post bad rumors, at least TRY to make it believable.

Is that Erin in that FHM picture?
not unless she got a reversable nose job.

Yeah it is tough to get in position to beat the Colts, but should they just not play? No he needs to have a team that can compete with and beat the Colts, he does not.
i think he beat the Colts, while amassing over 300 yards rushing, last year...I think that's the year the Colts won the SB. Could be wrong though...

I don't like the idea of a pro coach where we have to give up a recruiting year
this is the dumbest post i have ever seen. seriously.
first, this class is about wrapped up, but you're always gonna have some type of hit during a coaching change.
But good God man, if he is your guy, no way in hell you let one frickin recruiting class stand in the way.
Plus, you'd have him for life. He has no other aspirations, LSU is his dream job and he has no desire to coach in the NFL, which is evident if he leaves a successful NFL job to coach LSU.
The ONLY guy I'd rather have than Del Rio, is Rich Rodriguez. But if it can't be him, gimmie Jack Del Rieaux ALL DAY LONG!
In retrospect, I think we actually got the most out of Saban we could. turning the program around, the facilities, and of course the MNC. But that stuff is still here, we still have the benefits of his tenure here. The only thing he could now contribute is his coaching, which the guy does NOT walk on water in that regard. I think he would be less effective in recruiting now because of how he is perceived. No, I think we actually got the best out of the deal and it wouldn't be a positive to get him back.

Are there any top-notched coaches out there who've dreamed of coaching at LSU the way Miles has dreamed of coaching at Michigan?
Jack DelRio wants it, and would stay a long time.
