I will concede that DeSantis sending the migrants to Martha's Vineyard was theatrical more than anything, but a point was made. They lasted, what, 48 hours up there before the benevolent rich white liberals had them hauled away. I would also add that Martha's Vineyard ain't a terrible place to be and getting there by way of jet travel is probably a luxury they had never experienced. Just saying.

As for Abbott and Texas, if I recall correctly, El Paso and many of the border communities were asking for a response due to being overwhelmed by migrants. The general response of the Executive Branch and the media was to try to ignore it or just call everyone intolerant and racist. Just recently there was an attempt to storm a port of entry near El Paso, requiring a response by the Border Patrol AND the Mexican military. How is Border Czar Kamala Harris handling this? What is the Biden Administration's plan to solve this crisis at the border? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a lollipop? The world may never know.

(Yeah I know I need to try to stop watching the news LOL)
When I say that, I mean the purest, rawest form of human idiocy that has seemingly infected EVERYTHING. There are a million places to go with this, but I'm talking the type of idiocy that is so grating and insulting to anyone with a functional brain that it just causes you to throw your hands in the air and scream.

I could be overreacting here. That's always a possibility. I try to even avoid reading the news half the time because I know it's going to be so brutal if any rationality is to be involved.

I like to be informed about WTF is going on in the world.. but it's inescapable. It's everywhere. Eventually you see it and it's just so infuriating. Let me cite examples of what I'm getting at:

(This is literally from the past three days alone)

In the WONDERFUL state of California, Governor Newsome is pushing a plan that would give the 1.8 million Black Californians with an enslaved US Ancestor a cool sum of $360,000. Welllllllll isn't that nice! Total cost of the program? Nothing too much... just a cool (checks notes) $640 billion... for a state with a massive budget deficit. Absolutely no information can be found as to how this would be paid for.

In the WONDERFUL city of San Francisco, over 100 reparations proposals were heard by a very eager Board of Supervisors INCLUDING: Payouts of $5 million (yes that is correct) to eligible adults, elimination of personal tax AND debt burdens (LMAO), guaranteed incomes of $97,000 for 250 years (WTF) and homes in San Francisco for just $1 a family (Haaaahhhhh). And GET THIS: The Board was apparently surprised to hear that people opposed this. How on EARTH could they be so foolish? Why no, there had been no analysis done to indicate how this would be paid for... but how could anyone care about silly things like MONEY over doing the right thing?!

I know it's California but Evanston, Illinois is apparently already doing it in some fashion (I don't even want to freaking know) and Boston approved a task force to study it. Federal Democrats have tried to get task forces going for this.

Okay, enough with that nonsense. Let's check in on the executive branch. As some, uhhh, issues with the banks unfold, rest assured, the Biden Administration is here for you!!! Necessary steps are being taken, including (checks notes) regulating f*cking washing machines.

Norm MacDonald voice: "HOLLLD THE FORT!" Of course! Makes sense! In order to confront the GLOBAL CLIMATE CRISIS, washing machines need to use less water. How will clothes get cleaned properly? Well apparently that's a great question because there appears to be no answer for it. The manufacturers seem to want some answers but nope... you will save the planet and you will like it!

(A reminder that all of this legendary dipsh*ttery is from the past three days alone)

And now we head to the City that Never Sleeps. Remember that wonderful Sanctuary City BS? Well guess what happened when the crisis arrived to NYC? You know, because all of those RACIST red states bussed them away and those STUNTS pulled by GOP Governors? Mayor Eric Adams is sending them away. Time to go! They will be resettled across the country. Weird, I remember the outcry when Texas and Florida relocated migrants... could've sworn it was racist. BTW let's just take a second to ponder the fact that the mayor of New York freaking city is legitimately slow. Seriously. That man is a f*cking retard. Let's see Mr. Adams' well thought out plan:

quote:

Many details, however, were not explained.

The mayor, for instance, said he did not want to reveal the names of partner cities that are planning to host more migrants for fear of souring those relationships.

“Please don’t ask me which cities because I don’t need you running to the cities and stopping them,” he told reporters at the announcement. “I know you enjoy pitting cities against cities, so we are not giving you that information.”

"Many details were not explained." Well if that doesn't sum it up. You want ANSWERS? Yeah no we definitely aren't giving you those.

Oh yeah and BLM.. remember that?! They received HOW MUCH from corporations thanks to that violen--errr I mean totally valid Summer of Love? Well if you guessed 83 billion (Yes with a B) then you would be correct. Not a single scholarship or playground or even lighting for some Midnight Basketball. Nada.

So after a wall of text in the form of examples I ask... How do you deal with this idiocy? It is going to continue to reduce the standard of living for everyone. It already has. You see it in every other headline. I just want to know how everyone tries to stay sane with economic and political instability that feels like it's going to continue to get way worse.

I feel like this doesn’t get discussed enough.

“Liberalism is a mental disorder” isn’t wrong, it just doesn’t go anywhere near deep enough. This, this hideous and revolting leftist slant, is something different.

I have the gross misfortune of knowing both leftists and people who were once happy and were bitten by the woke bug. In some way, shape or form, they are motivated by a degree of anger or misery.

They suffer from anxiety, OCD and just a general existential malaise. I often find myself remarking “that’s no way to go through life.”

THAT is what explains so much about their beliefs and actions over the last few years. I use the term beliefs loosely because they have no core beliefs. Their alleged beliefs are all vague, surface-level virtue signaling phrases and sentences, many of them eerily resembling media talking points.

These people are wholly demoralized. They have no concept of inner strength or freedom. They have been beaten down so badly that they have completely collapsed on their knees at the foot of establishment narratives. They are too weak to fight them, and spend their energy attacking the values and institutions of the western world.

They react to good news (good for average Americans) with anger. They mock freedom movements. They cheer on the deplatforming and harassment of political opponents. They take a glass half empty approach to life. They openly promote the fact that they are depressed. I feel like everyone here knows at least one person like this.
It’s not limited to race or age group. You can find them everywhere. They are ruined beings with precious little (if any) humanity left in them.

I only post this because it’s important people recognize what motivates these people. You don’t become hateful and destructive out of nowhere. That happens when you lose your humanity and become addicted to misery. I try to empathize simply to understand WHY. It’s no way to go through life. It must truly be hell on earth.
Sweet Jesus. Merrick Garland. I'm not sure I have words to describe this man, but he is fueled by the darkest corner of hell. I don't think it's necessary to elaborate further at this point. He was THIS close to the Supreme Court too. Thank you, Mitch. No, really. This man was supposed to be a moderate?

Sending the FBI after parents? Collusion regarding the school board letter? Lying to Congress? Branding people taking charge of their children's education "domestic terrorists? Frick, he didn't even let ole reliable (RACISM RACISM RACISM). They decided to just go straight to a new level of escalation, one that might be comparable with dousing forest fires in gasoline.

And guess what? That wasn't even the worst. The Rittenhouse trial is rightfully the main focus, but we should not let this Garland news pass. This man straight up activated the FBI Counterterrorism against parents. I was reading about that for all of about five minutes today compared to the happenings in Kenosha. It's far too important to ignore. This is a literal act of war. What he did was turn national police on innocent Americans. When you say that over and over and just let it simmer, holy frick is that a chilling sentence to utter. There have been so many crimes against the people committed by the government in just the past few years that some people might be mildly desensitized to it. I'm not. This is one of the most egregious things I've ever seen. I'm imagining my parents getting a bit fired up at a school board meeting, picturing what it looks like, and then seeing a "domestic terrorists" label get slapped on them. Talk about getting the blood boiling.

He lied to Congress (SHOCKER). The media will cover for him, either by manipulation or just deliberately ignoring it. They might not even have to do that. Leftists actually support them, the vile motherfrickers they are. Garland will go back to a hearing on Capitol Hill. A few politicians saying some things might make it explosive. He won't resign. He will double down. Wash rinse and repeat for every other Brandon cabinet member that is responsible for utterly unconscionable acts. Well, they're not unconscionable when you realize that they are trying to implode the United States of America.

$hit like Garland, and Rittenhouse, and Mayorkas just casually allowing a festering border crisis will continue largely unabated for the next three years. God have mercy on us. Unfortunately, it was necessary. People were just too freaking comfortable, believing freedom would survive while everyone collectively slept at the wheel. Those tyrants we studied in school? They were humans, with human emotions and human brains. Many people are (excruciatingly slowly) coming to see the left as one big miserable authoritarian quagmire. Many people don't want to live in a world where Merrick Garlands and Anthony Faucis run roughshod over people's freedoms.

I've been slightly encouraged by some of the discourse I've seen on social media as this year has progressed. They've pushed so hard that they continue to increase the number of people opposed to it. Good. The best thing that can happen is for the left to be as destructive as possible and as terrifyingly authoritarian as possible. The more people that become uncomfortable, the better. They learned NOTHING from Virginia. They never do. Merrick Garland and the left won't change a thing. Good. They're implementing the timeless strategy of taking what doesn't work and rolling with it. Virginia was a warning for them and they appear to have COMPLETELY failed to get the message. Good. More people will wake up. More people will run for school board and local office, more people will organize and more people will walk around with their eyes open. The only way freedom survives is if the people want it to.
It is legitimately heartbreaking to read this. Coming to this kind of realization is such a hideous way to realize that the country we knew is gone.

America WAS that country. It was literally founded on the principles of freedom in relation to tyranny from the British Crown. America was created after enough people got fed up with BS. America was so free and successful that the unprecedented prosperity created a people that was far too comfortable and far to ignorant.

It’s been obvious that America the free hasn’t been so for awhile. It’s just so unbelievably difficult to accept.
I’ve been seeing several polls indicating that damn near 70% of likely voters disapprove of his handling. The likely voters part is key.

His approval rating has been tanking too. MSNBC seems to be the only outlet that is still shilling for Biden. Everyone else has temporarily found their journalistic credentials.
This is true, but the attacks won’t land like they did with Trump. Not even close. We all love Trump, but it’s at least understandable why some people don’t care for him. Many people are also VERY ignorant politically, and as COVID showed, VERY easily manipulated.

With DeSantis, there is not orange man bad. He’s just too smart and eloquent. The very far left will despise him of course and the media will attack him, but he’s so damn good at combating that as he’s showed as governor in going after the media. If he has Kamala as his opponent, he’s going to look even better to people as well. They can’t try all the want to smear him, but the hit pieces they’ve put out on him so far haven’t landed hardly at all.
I would say the potential red flags that would line up with these concerns just aren’t there with DeSantis. I know how many times we’ve been hoodwinked, but this time it really feels real.

DeSantis was legit when he was in Congress. I distinctly remember him promoting legislation that would’ve capped the Mueller BS at a six month timeframe. I’d be skeptical if he was wishy-washy before he had a chance to climb the political ladder in Florida, but he was real.

Also (and this is the big one) he was not originally supported at all by the Florida GOPe. They had their guy in Adam Putnam. Trump endorsed DeSantis, and the rest is history. This is the one right here. The potential for him to be a turncoat is directly based, in my opinion, on how he has related to the establishment before. It doesn’t appear that he is a big fan.
I fear these cities are completely beyond redemption. They have completely institutionalized idiocy. To make matters worse, an increasing number of the voters that populate these cities are utterly fricked up people for one reason or another.
Leftists, the media and a corrupt government apparatus deserve the most blame. But the people I’m most pissed at are the seemingly rational ones who failed to use any kind of critical thinking and let themselves get completely brainwashed. It’s been boiling for years, but the past 14 months, in terms of rational thinking and sanity being thrown out the door and stomped on, are truly beyond anything words could even describe.
And for the better part of the past decade. Long time lurker, first time poster.

Human emotion is an incredibly powerful thing. In the past 13 months, we are seeing the results of a society that has become progressively weakened by an emphasis on emotions and feelings over fact and logic.

Technology has irredeemably ruined many millions of people. They are subjugated. They cling to narratives because it boosts them back up to a level of functionality. If social media disappeared indefinitely right this moment, these people would be hurling themselves over bridges in mass numbers. The number of people in this country who are improperly socialized or have critically low levels of self-esteem is far higher than is sustainable for society. I once heard that 80 percent of our thoughts are negative. Social media and the media in general magnifies this problem and reduces people’s ability to simply get along.

It’s difficult to get accurate readings because the level of technology we have is unprecedented in human history. When someone is weak but has a voice they can project over platforms such as Twitter, in my amateur academic opinion, they act incredibly irrationally and emotionally. Reasonable people find them to be, at best, unreasonable, and at worst, fricking nuts. I like to call them losers. But when too many people are losing and mob together, they demonize those who are not so and yank them downwards.

I’m not sure it gets better. Millennials and Gen Z have been subject to growing up in society that has increasingly seen traditional values and critical thinking as problematic (RACIST!!!). Human were never meant to function like this. I look around everywhere, thinking of myself as a normal dude, and wonder what the frick is happening. Everything is upside down. I have made a pact with myself that I will NEVER put myself in a position to be tricked with by these people. Who knows what that will look like in the future. But for now, I’m going to the freaking liquor store.
