Totally agree, well stated. I basically said the same thing in a previous post, without the numbers though. I think 3 of the SEC teams we beat don’t even make Bowl games and several fired their coaches. The middle of the road SEC teams simply aren’t up to par as they have been recently. Thus, as your point states, Coach O’s 9 wins aren’t what they appear to be or at least don’t compare to winning 9 games in the recent past years. He was extremely lucky this was the case for this season in the SEC. (I think I just summed up your post and re-summed up my initial post) lol
Aren’t we all tired of repeatedly saying that the best team (us) lost the game?? Or that we have the best athletes by far on the field, yet continue to lose games that we should clearly have won. It’s been overdue to clean house, minus Aranda and terminate all the egotistical personalities, including Alleva, that brings segregation to our club each season. I’m so tired of LSU hiring the, “he’s such a great motivator, or he’s such a great recruiter, or he has such a great personality!”...ala Coach O, Les Miles, Johnny Jones, Trent Johnson, and I will even go as far as also saying Dale Brown. Yeah, I said it! All those characteristics are meaningless if you CAN’T coach the X’s and O’s of the game! Clean house and start from scratch, if not, expect the same thing to occur for the next umteenth years....Insanity at its best...

I agree, get rid of Alleva....but how.....perhaps obtain some of our money back and replace him with his buddy Les.

Umm, yeah.... Especially if Alleva was gone, but umm yeah, even If unfortunately he’s still and will be here. It’s about the money dawg. As the other cat was saying, it’s not like you have a tough act to follow. Coach O simply got lucky that the other SEC teams minus 3 of them, were way below average compared to their teams in the recent past. Several of them didn’t even make Bowl games along with being forced to fire their coaches. Oh and he did lose to Troy.
Ya, not only have we previously not played BYU, 4 of those SEC teams we beat, fired their coaches. So your comparison isn’t reasonable. Those SEC teams aren’t similar to the past teams that were halfway decent. Shite, 4 of those teams didn’t even make a Bowl game.
