The Pritzker Military Foundation, on behalf of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, today named Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman as the inaugural Pritzker Military Fellow through the Lawfare Institute. My NC Ballot Was Returned in the Mail Yesterday
Posted by Bushman on 11/2/20 at 7:52 am
I don't usually check my mail on Sundays - just walked out to the mailbox and to my surprise, I find the POTUS election ballot I submitted 4 weeks ago – there is an attachment that says it was rejected because my witness signature on the outside of the envelope doesn’t match the witness signature on the inside. This is pure ludicrous – my wife signed both and the signatures are a near-identical match (obviously).
We executed ours for each other at the same time (she votes in PA) and her's has yet to be returned...but then again she voted for Biden.
How can we trust our ballots to a system that is so subjective and arbitrary? Who exactly is verifying these signatures? FBI forgery experts? Or a poll volunteer (who is likely an unemployed democrat-leaning person). BTW it is impossible to verify the signatures without seeing that I voted for Trump.
Hopefully the mail will pick it back up today and get it to the polling location before tomorrow (it's in my town) - no way I'm going to the polls in-person.
Trying to find out how to post a picture, i want you guys to see the "difference" in signatures.
Get ready to fight this, they are playing dirty in the battleground states.

Why is it troubling? We are a country of laws, which necessitates lawyers.

With states and courts continuing to change the rules about how and for how long ballots can be counted, it seems likely the political legal class will soon be deciding this election, not the voters.
Biden legal team: Biden’s “legal war room” is ready to “ensure that elections are properly administered and votes correctly counted” and to “combat voter suppression at the polls,” according to the Associated Press. Biden’s legal operation has been called “the largest election protection program in presidential campaign history”. The team consists of former solicitors general (Donald Verrilli, Walter Dellinger), Obama legal stars (Bob Bauer, Eric Holder), Democratic Party titans (Marc Elias), and “hundreds of lawyers,” according to the NYT.
Trump Legal team: Justin Clark leads Trump’s legal team, who in 2016 played a key role helping Mr. Trump navigate recounts and line up delegates. The Trump legal advisory board contains an array of hard-charging state attorneys general, and its own list of stars, from Ed Meese to Harmeet Dhillon to Leonard Leo. It has its own staff of lawyers and poll watchers, who are already spread out across the 50 states, although significantly less than Biden.
Legal teams are bracing for chaos in states where the rules have been changed. On Wednesday lawyers will be filing dozens of complaints over irregularities, recounts, and which stacks of ballots should be counted. In Pennsylvania, the rules are now so uncertain that officials are going to be segregating ballots received after Election Day—in the understanding that their ultimate fate may be decided by judges, potentially weeks after polls have closed.
Go vote and make your voice heard…then hope your side’s lawyers went to a good law school.
Hail Lawyers!

Serious question: when did it become appropriate to refer to the POTUS by their first name? Can you imagine if GOP pundits had referred to President Obama as "Barry"?
Honestly he played in the Dem's hands by allowing the Country to shut down to the extent he did.
Trump should have said in March:
"If you are high-risk or feel you are more susceptible to the virus, I encourage you to stay indoors and use whatever measures you feel are necessary - people are smart enough to assess their own situation and determine what they need to do to protect themselves. We are not going to destroy the greatest economy in 40 years over mass hysteria"

Honestly Trump has not been the best POTUS for the military. I know many officers are voting for Biden, but I take it for granted that career military officers usually slowly begin to side with the federal mindset. In my experience it's mostly enlisted who are the most pro-Trump.
I've disagreed with Trump on:
1. Midnight pardons of the war criminals (Gallagher and Golestyn)
2. Reckless withdraw of our troops from Syria, leaving our Kurdish allies out in the cold)
3. Disgraceful comments about John McCain
4. Suspicious comments made about servicemembers in general
Not saying I'm voting for Biden, but there are several things I've disagreed with him on.

She voted for Trump in 2016 but now feels his attempt to withdraw troops from Afghanistan before the 1 May agreement is too reckless.
She usually votes on foreign policy, as she feels that has the most certain trickle-down effect on our domestic policy as well.

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but let's wait until we have proof that people are actually intentionally making fake ballots.

My wife still votes in PA from our time at the War College...pretty sure she just voted for Biden.
Honestly no reason to not wait and let all the votes be counted (assuming they were cast in time). A lot of those votes will be republican.
Well he did devote the majority of his life to public service...

No, you would have a dead unarmed paramedic on your hands.

Supposedly the polls are much more accurate this time (basing off the accuracy of the midterms), so I don't know if we want to count on another surprise.
re: Does anyone here doubt that there will be extensive voter fraud?

I really don't know, but there is actually little-to-zero evidence of voter fraud in mail-in ballots, the experts will tell you. Honestly don't know what to believe.
re: Fake Proud Boys Email Threats - Proof of More Foreign Interference in our Elections

The reasons are unknown, but it is confirmed that Iran believes a Trump election would be less favorable to Iran than a Biden win.
Fake Proud Boys Email Threats - Proof of More Foreign Interference in our Elections
Posted by Bushman on 10/26/20 at 7:03 am
“Either they made a dumb mistake or wanted to get caught,” said a senior U.S. government official, who asked not to be identified. “We are not concerned about this activity being some kind of false flag due to other supporting evidence. This was Iran.”
FACTS: Reuters
1. Foreign interference in our 2020 elections is undeniable.
2. We’ll never know if it helps/hurts either candidate, so each candidate has nothing to lose by calling it out
3. It should infuriate both sides equally, and should not be tolerated by our government.
Make no mistake about it, foreign countries are continuing to interfere in our elections as they did in 2016. Neither the Republicans or the Democrats are in on it, but we should all unite against it.

Within hours of the video being circulated this week, which purported to come from a American far-right group known as The Proud Boys, intelligence officials and major email platform providers, such as Alphabet Inc's GOOGL.O Google and Microsoft Corp MSFT.O, began closely analyzing computer code that appeared in the hackers' video.
While the emails, which demanded that voters change their party affiliation to the Republican Party and vote for President Donald Trump or “we will come after you,” appeared to come from an official-looking Proud Boys email address, the address was inauthentic, security analysts said. The Proud Boys denied they were behind the messages.
