You can broadcast any granular product with bifenthrin in your yard and it will kill them. It will continue to work for 2-3 months after.
Celsius has worked for me. It’s expensive but a little goes a long way.
Download the 104.5 Baton Rouge app.
There's a little bayou that you can cut through from 4 Point Bayou that leads you back to the marina. It basically parallels the bayou and if you stay on top you are fine. I used to do it when we had a 22 foot Robalo. The Sweetwater pond is fairly shallow and I wouldn't have gone in there with the Robalo. Not sure how big your boat is though.
My grandparents have had the camp down Four Point for over 30 years. We've been very lucky as far as damage goes and being 10-15 feet off the ground helps. In the past, the most water we ever had was around 5 feet or so. I can only remember having to clean from floods 3-4 times and that was after hurricanes that passed to our west. It leaves a lot of mud and grass under the camp. Since they have built the levee and lock we have not had a significant storm so I don't know what will happen then. As far as fishing and location goes, I can be in the ponds fishing redfish 3 minutes from the dock and be around Last Island in 30-45 minutes fishing for Specks.
137?? Do you know yet? What does Ms. Mkb270 think about you hanging that in her house?

Rattle, you'll be pooping like a pet coon tomorrow morning after eating all that grease!

Dulac Report
Posted by LSUMAN79 on 10/3/15 at 9:43 pm
Fished a bay just north of Bay Du Mongles today and caught a bunch of specks but most of them were small. Threw back at least 30 10-11 inch trout. They were chasing shrimp. Anyone else have any luck in Dulac/Cocodrie this weekend? Seems like the specks have moved north some.

I second Mexican Gulf. We fished with Kevin a couple of years ago and Jordan was still his deckhand. They are both great guys. We had fun and caught a bunch of fish.

It's kinda hard to tell from the pictures but they look like ants. Ants will have segments that make them look like they have a waistline.
Fished Saturday morning in the marsh around Bay De Mongles and Mangrove Bay and only caught 3 trout and a few drum.
Are the reds up in the lower bays and marshes now? Headed down to 4 Point for the weekend and hoping to get on some reds. I just have a smaller G3 aluminum boat so probably won't try the islands.
Caught a few crabs off the dock with my daughters today at our camp on 4 Point Road.

Rattlebucket, I'm pretty sure you could limit out pretty quick at the camp with a trap like that. A case of beer and the 1970's model racketball rackets you have is much more fun though.
re: How many deer have you HONESTLY killed in your lifetime?

I've killed seven with three of them having been on Rattlebuckets family land. None of my deer have been on the wall but they all made it to the grill.

He said he'd post it before bed. Maybe he's so fired up he hadn't slept yet.

re: Dulac/Cocodrie Advice

We ended up fishing birds and finished with 11 keeper trout and threw back 20-30 small trout. We fished Mangrove Bay and Bay Du Mongles. The fish completely shut off around 10:00 and my nephew was getting bored so we headed back shortly thereafter. Thanks again for all the replies.
Thanks for the responses fellas! Hopefully I can find a few.
