Reading the rule and seeing what happened, yes, The official call of the play is correct. Could the umpires of made the situation more clear on making the runner come back and touch the plate after their ruling, yes. Go back to the original call ,”out”. That guy is going back to the dugout. Call the catcher balk, have him come back to touch home. That’s where everyone gets their panties in a wad.
