I saw those reviews too. I guess if you plan on leaving it on damp ground it is something to consider, but I haven't had any signs of mold with normal use and hanging it up after.

Exactly. The tax free growth benefit is the reason you should contribute to either 529 plan. If you have younger kids that you know are going to private high school, it is a tremendous opportunity.

The LA K-12 plan is not currently deductable for state income tax like the Higher Ed plan. That may change after this year's legislative session.
Do they usually sell single day passes or is it all weekend wristband nonsense?
Some people call me Maurice
How in the wide world of sports would anyone know this?

They need to change the name of this thread to the "Random Money/Business/Finance Thoughts/Humble Brag Thread."

Does anybody understand how there "zestimates" are calculated? It says my house is $80k more than what it is really worth and every other house on my block seems to be way below their real values.

My recommendation would be to buy stock in companies that make money and products that you enjoy. For example, in my Roth right now I own stocks like Sirius, Pandora, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (own Keurig), and Coinstar (own Redbox). I am in no way endorsing any of those stocks, just trying to give you an idea of how I approach it. It is riskier than a target date fund, but more risk could equal more reward. :pimp:
