Sorry I didn't want to sound condescending and I thought if'n I just used it outright it might sound that way. Perhaps putting it in quotes came off as condescending and I wasn't trying to do that. I love Louisiana, have a great time every time I've been there. Very charming. Best of luck the rest of the season

Do Mormons drink?
Q: How many Mormons do you take fishing with you?
A: At least 2. If you only take one, he'll drink all your beer.
Another good one
Q: Where do Mormons never recognize each other?
A: At the liquor store.

LOLZ, no no, those two guys on the bikes are byu fans. We're definitely NOT byu  Utah STATE (state school) pronounced in the south as "Yew-taaaah state"
And yes we tailgate, nowhere near as good as "y'all" but yes we have a good time. Especially when it's good football weather.

We lost our HC and OC to Texas Tech, but we got our old coach who went to Wisconsin back.
We didn't score a lot vs San Diego state because 1) they never lose at home; and 2) they have one of the better defenses in the country. Hardly anyone predicted we would win that game. They were effective in keeping us out of the RZ, which is why our RZ stats look so bad. We usually score on big plays as our QB is pretty good at setting those up, much like your stellar QB.
Colorado State game was played during a torrential downpour, and they always play us very tough.
Not making excuses, just giving you the background.
I hope we can give you guys a decent game. We shall see.

re: Utah State is 118th in Red Zone Scoring (LSU is #1)

Most of our points come from big plays. It's kind of hard to make a big play with a limited field, and our receivers aren't great at catching bullets.
as long as it's not raining cats and dogs like our last game, I think we might (just MIGHT) have a chance to give you guys a good game on offense.
re: LSU same size favorite over Utah St as Vandy (-24.5)

Agreed, if we played this game up in the mountains of Logan, Utah (5,500 ft where the stadium sits) we might have a chance... to keep it close
USU's low scoring average this year vs last year is for a few obvious reasons:
1. We lost a lot of good receivers from last year.
2. Last year, besides Michigan State, we were front loaded with cup-cake teams who couldn't stop Jordan Love if they tried.
3. This year's upfront schedule included San Diego State in SD, a place where we've never won before and SD has one of the better defenses in the Country. They did a good job of keeping us out of the EZ even after we'd rack up yards.
4. The Colorado State game. First, CSU always plays us tough, our wins are always within a 10 point margin. Second, the weather sucked bad. Heavy rain all game made things difficult for Jordan.
Hopefully we'll give you guys a good game! We should have beat Wake, we had several opportunities to do it, but with less than two minutes left close to their EZ, Jordan threw a bone-headed INT and that was it. OH WELL.
Best of luck the rest of the way!

I've never been to Baton Rouge, but the last time I was in Louisiana, I had a great time, thought the scenery was great. Of course it was in the spring time.
But yea, those mountains are awesome looking.

My guess is that it's the Logan City Course. There's a nicer one up above the campus.
