If the property is in a different state than where you reside, do you form the LLC in the state where you reside or in the state where the property is located?
Yep, just looking to connect with some LSU folks in the area since I grew up in BR.
Is so, where at? Great game where Geaux Tigers is always the right answer.
Yes, I manage millions of dollars of outside counsel spend for a F50 company. Legal spend is under scrutiny and heavily managed through hourly rate discounts, volume discounts, value (free) service requirements, fixed fee requirements, data analytics, and more. AI is costing firms a lot in sunk costs and threatening to erode revenue through efficiencies clients demand are passed through. Firms still find a way to stay profitable but operational/external legal budgets are tightening—at least in some companies.
I hope you know you that in the event of a divorce, you will owe her a 50 cent reimbursement for every $1 you spend paying down your separate debt with community funds, or income earned during the marriage.
Big thank you for the link to the NYU professor’s page. Absolutely will be going through those courses, as I’ve been wanting to access this kind of material without enrolling in formal classes.
Thanks. Rarely have health expenses but no one knows the future. Will do an HSA.

Pretty sure RE is for me. Parents owned rental properties and helped out with them over the years so have some familiarity with what this entails. The evictions policies of late are something I’m thinking through though.
Other than a company-sponsored 401(k), what financial products are ideal to ramp up wealth building and retirement planning in your 40s? Liquid savings is a given, so other considerations are: Roth IRA, annuity, whole life, etc. Recommendations?
Sam is awesome.

As others have pointed out, it is a scientifically proven fact that petting a cat lowers the blood pressure of the person AND the cat.

It has also been shown that the frequency of a cat’s purr has a beneficial impact on the body’s healing processes—including bone regrowth.

Please, winters here in NC are 10 degrees colder then BR virtually every day. That’s a good thing.

Moved to NC from BR bout 360 days ago. Life is so far better in every way. Cannot begin to describe how vastly better and enjoyable life is — almost every day there is a new reminder. Even little things like riding bikes with my son through hilly, tree-lined streets where the cool rush from the wind going downhill and the hard pedaling uphill are a lesson in contrasts. Do all you can to get here. You’ll love it.

Looks delicious. What’s your technique for frying? Stove top or oil/air fryer?
