re: terrible trade

Not in love with anyone at 4. Trade back and get more assets AND dump Hills salary. I’m good with it.
More Woj: Atlanta is also sending a Cleveland heavily protected first-round pick in 2020 to the Pelicans, league sources tell ESPN.
Woj: Atlanta has acquired New Orleans No. 4 pick in the draft for No. 8 and 17 and 35, league sources tell ESPN. Pelicans are sending Solomon Hill, No. 57 pick and a future second-round pick.
Im torn on trade vs keep. If we keep it, I trust in Langdon to identify the BPA. Garland, Culver, Hunter, I don't know.

A lot of smoke around trading that 4th pick but Griffin is proving he's a master at this. Drive up the demand until you get what you're looking for.
I want him to be the centerpiece just as much as you. I'll concede that he most likely wouldn't like it either. My thought is recovery and attempting to get some shooting on this team while maintaining flexibility to sign Ingram next year. Gallinari seemed like a fit with that group. Lonzo, Jrue, Ingram, Zion is lacking that outside threat.
I don't think I said #4 is the centerpiece.

Does he have to be a starter to be a centerpiece? Let him get 30 minutes off the bench this first year back from the clot issue and he regains his confidence and play from late last year. Playing against 2nd unites could be good too. Gallinari is off the books next year and you make him your "centerpiece" then.

Starer/bench.. who cares in this first year. He gets his minutes. You could close with Ball, Jrue, Gallinari, Ingram, Zion.
IF we trade the 4, I'm with you on Hayes if we drop back to 8.

Also, with the news of Gallinari being on the block, I'd look to him as a player to absorb into our space. His ability to stretch the floor with our starting lineup would be great. Let Ingram come off the bench with the greenlight to score.

Include Hill or Moore in the trade to ATL and let them keep the future BKN pick

NO In: 8, 17
ATL In: 4, Hill or Moore

NO In: Gallinari, (maybe snag the future PHI or MIA 1st if they are really eager to get 2 max slot)
LAC In: Future 2nd

Find a way to trade into the late 1st round to get Windler.

Draft:
8: Hayes
17: Okeke
27: Windler

Sign:
Collison
Dedmon

Go into the season with:
Lonzo, Collison
Jrue, Frank/Windler
Gallinari, Ingram/Windler
Zion, KWill/Woods
Dedmon, Hayes/Woods

The Nets can offer a good package. I don't see any guys commanding max contracts in that list. Future flexibility.
Negative. I take that as an insult.
If we take the Lakers package, I'd like to flip some of those pieces for Turner. Something like:

NO In: Turner, Ingram, Hart, Pick 4 (Garland or White), Future Lakers first (21, 23)
LA In: AD
Ind In: Kuzma, Ball, Moore

Sign vets like Dudley, PBev or Collison

PBev or Collison, Garland or White
Jrue, Hart/Frank
Ingram, KWill/Dudley
Zion, Dudley/Woods
Turner, Jah/Woods
