Donate A Deer

Posted by huntersforthehungry on 10/14/24 at 10:28 am
Please consider donating a deer this season to feed the needy in our state. Drop off to one of the processors listed at www.h4hla.org.
Bring what you have and the food bank will cull through it to make sure it fits their standards.

Hey! Just seeing this. That wouldn't happen in Louisiana. We cover all the costs as long as it's an H4H partner processor. Good to hear it went to a needy family though! Thanks!
Sorry about that! We got busy with the event, and I missed this. It'll happen next year, but we always take donations throughout the year too. www.h4hla.org

Good to know about Facebook link! New to this forum life. :)
Yep, that's how it works. The only day my Ville Platte husband lets the kids skip their Lafayette school.

Hey guys, we're trying to find out how many people know you can donate fish, door, or your kill to the local food banks? Anybody done this?

Hey, anyone able to clear out their freezer and donate to shelters and food banks? We've added more locations, and we're working hard to take care of Laura evacuees too. Hope you can contribute! www.cleanoutyourfreezer.com

The food donations must be properly labeled with contents specified and dated. Vacuum sealed contents are great as to prevent freezer burn.

Clean Out Your Freezer Day is set for Sunday, September 15th. But you can always bring food to your local food bank. Just tell them that H4H sent you and to let us know how many lbs of food you donated.
