There’s usually a couple per season. We don’t really hear anything until after Turkey season when the leases are up for renewal.
Absolutely! It’s south Arkansas. Junction City area. I’m the only Arkansas member of our lease. Everyone else is from LA.

Alan Turner is the State 200 Meter Champion 3 years running. He is also the 2 time defending State powerlifting champion in his weight division. Junction City has an outstanding powerlifting team, and has been the Arkansas overall champions (2A through 7A) 3 times in the past 6 years. Turner is about 5'11" 190, and will probably play safety. He won't need much time in the weight room to bulk up like most kids coming in, but will probably redshirt.

Arkansas has offered Jones' friend, Alan Turner, look for announcement soon.
If Byran doesn't go to Arkansas, it has nothing to do with the grades. It will be because he never cared to go to Arkansas. Auburn, Ole Miss and LaTech all have a great shot at Jones....not so much for Arkansas.

Byran would love to go to LSU and he has long said they are his favorite. He didn't make it to camp because his family had a reunion. The good news is he didn't make arkansas this week either. He is trying to get to Baton Rouge, but he doesn't know if he will be able to. I'm worried this class might fill up before he gets an offer.

I have a little inside information with Byran you could say. I don't post much though so you can take it or leave it. He has won the state title in the shot-put 3 years in a row. He set the state record for power-clean at the state weight meet this spring. Junction City has the best powerlifting program in the state of Arkansas and has won the over all State Title (Class A-7A) 3 times the past 6 years. He has long said he would love to go to LSU if given the chance. He grew up a Tiger fan and is an LA kid. I talked to him a few months back and he gave me a top three if he could go anywhere. LSU, Alabama, and Texas were his final three. He doesn't hold offers from any of those yet and right now seems to be fine with letting the process play out to see who offers. He talked with my dad yesterday afternoon and said he was going to camp and feels like if he performs well he will get an offer. There are several Hog fans up here that are constantly in his ear about being a Hog and he hasn't pulled the trigger yet, so I feel if Miles offers him he will be a Tiger. There is a connection to the LSU staff also. Coach Brick was with the Chicago Bears when Kevin Payne (starting safety for the Bears) arrived. Byran was a water boy for Junction City while Kevin was playing RB and LB with Byran's older brother blocking for him on the OL. The best thing about this is Hogville is in full melt down mode about the chance of Ar-Kansas missing out on the top 3 in state kids. Some are trying to spin it like BP will get whoever he wants so it doesn't matter, and others are pissed because the Hog faithful turned on Houston for the same thing.

If LSU offers Byran, they will be pretty tough to beat. The coaching staff at Junction City has a couple of life long LSU fans on it, and Byran has always liked the Tigers. Auburn OC Gus Malzhan and JC HC David Carpenter are good friends and they are supposed to be stopping by later to see Byran. Saban is sending the most mail and calling the most right now.

If Byran Jones gets an offer from LSU, he will be a Tiger. This is not my opinion, it's fact. I talk to the kid almost daily.

Byran Jones, the run stuffing DT from Junction City, Arkansas, actually lives in Louisiana. The kid loves LSU, I just don't know if Les will pay him any attention. I would love to see LSU pull the top offensive and defensive players out of the state of Ar-Kansas next season.

Just to see the Hog meltdown, I wish he would say Ole Miss. The whole state would be under suicide watch. I think he is a Hog though.
