Felt to me like Louisiana was scrapping the bottom of the barrel. The KKK racist vs the La Gov who a few years later would be convicted and sent to prison. Edwards served as governor over a 24 year period...1972-80/84-88/92-96 I'm just glad Ronald Reagan was elected President and even though it was toward the end of his second term I always believed the popularity of Reagan was the x factor that helped Roemer defeat Edwards who was running for re election. But Louisiana was hurt and embarrassed when Duke edged out Roemer for the Republican nomination and Roemer's bid for a second term. Edwards saw his chance to get back into office because of the Duke candidacy. It also revealed how weak the sitting governor, Roemer had become...losing the nomination to Duke, who ran as the Republican.

I scratch my head at how some people are so dumb as to never see Trump is playing chess while his foes play checkers. While liberals chant and sing, "It takes a village"....Trump will burn their village down in order to build his own place...a better place for middle America.

I'm thinking the Dems aren't stupid enough to proceed with impeachment attempt. But say they succeeded. Of course, the Senate keeps the President from being removed from office. One can see how the dems' ploy would be to disrupt the Trump presidency and his re election.
If the President continues to lead the economy back, win a victory in foreign diplomacy, esp with China and N Korea and builds the wall...he has the savvy as a campaigner to win a second term.
The key word is "If".... I think the probable key here is to let Trump be Trump....live or die. I think it is to live.

I think about my Grand Father. He was a wonderful man. He also believed the moon landing was fake. Grand Pa passed away about four months after the first moon landing but went to his grave believing it was fake. That was in 1969. With all due respect to my Grand Father, hearing anybody with that notion in 2018 is mind boggling.
