The advice about using skillsaw to cut strips in the floor is effective. Also the hammerdrills are a lifesaver at times. If it is coming up easily go to hardware store buy two flathoes and ram the edge underneath the wood. On average we don't don't do demo and install for less than 6sqft. We are very professional and keep a hard working crew. It's to the point now that we do more work for cost plus contractors instead of working directly for the homeowner. For mold to grow. Moisture must be present it also needs temperature to be right in the state of Louisiana it might have been to cold for mold to grow like 4 or 5 days this year.
