My son is around that age. I made the mistake of watching a couple of mins of river monsters before he went to bed. It was an episode about anacondas. I awoke to him screaming bloody murder "there's a snake in my bed!". So in my half awaken state Im running to get him away from the snake before I r...

re: Should I email my old boss?

Posted by Eon Blue on 4/10/14 at 11:04 pm
No you shouldn't email him. But if they are floundering that bad and you can make them profitable again why not find someone with some money and buy the business for .50 cents on the dollar. Return them to a profit and you win. That would be much more rewarding than a little revenge. ...
Maybe they think the run on ammo will eventually stop, like it has stopped for AR-15's. Maybe they think there will be a backlash from the shooters that they don't want to face.
Yeah that combined with the fact that raising the price won't budge their bottom line much is what I figu...
I know nothing about IT but how could you spend 125 million to build an exchange. We're just talking about the website right? I figured you could get it built for 20-40k. Maybe some expensive servers for another 10-20k. Where am I off by 124+ million? ...

That's just not true. Not at reasonable prices. At least not in south Louisiana. But it would be if the prices were allowed to find market equilibrium. And everyone in this thread would be able to go to their local retailer on any given day and find a reasonably priced brick of .22. I don't know w...

Is that why the same group of people wait in line for the deliveries. So they're buying it at market price and then selling at market price? Lol. You sir don't know what you're talking about. Stores never having it long enough to even hit the shelves is not market price. ...

Thank you Jesus someone with some sense has arrived. Exactly my point. Did he mention why they don't just raise the price? As a corporation why sell something below market value and allow someone else to make that profit? And it's not like those people that show up everyday are going there to bu...

re: Raise the price of ammo

Posted by Eon Blue on 3/28/14 at 11:32 pm
No. If they raised their prices and took out the resellers the price would come down. That's a fact. Maybe not to .05/ round but it wouldn't be twenty either. And maybe it would stay on the shelves for a couple hours. Plus at some price you hoarders would be priced out of the market. ...

Raise the price of ammo

Posted by Eon Blue on 3/28/14 at 11:08 pm
I wish all these retailers would just raise their prices and let the market dictate the going rate. It seems to me it would kill the secondary market and prices would soon return to somewhat normal. I just can't bring myself to stand in line at academy waiting to buy ammo nor am I going to pay rid...
To the car buying experts of the money board. I'm at 200k miles and the wife will need one pretty soon. How much should I demand off above and beyond the individual best price of each vehicle if I buy them both at the same time? Let's say an f150 platinum and some type of explorer. ...

In louisiana all non competes are invalid unless they adhere to certain provisions. They must state a specific geographical area. i.e. Parish, city, etc. and must limit the time frame to no more than two years. If it meets the provisions it can be upheld. Can apply to workers going out on their...
