It's from the Detroit Pistons "Bad Boys" team in the 80's through early 90's which had players like Isiah Thomas, Rick Mahorn, Dennis Rodman, and Bill Laimbeer. The logo has sort of had a renaissance in recent years in Detroit and is once again pretty popular.
