No Friday meal really, but gumbo inside a house that's 68° sounds great!

Unrelated to the thread, and I apologize for this, but I was having lunch the other day and overheard two women's conversation. I wasn't trying to, they just weren't very discreet. lol One of them said Tom refinanced his mortgage in order to pay the tuition at Tulane. His daughter proceeded to flunk out. They didn't say why. That's why he's gone. He's moving her away to another college.

re: What is a Summer meal to you?
Posted by Johnny Stompanato on 7/23/16 at 8:13 am to LakeViewLSU
Usually a salad with lots of grilled shrimp, or a bowl of creole tomatoes, remoulade dressing, and lump crabmeat. Any kind of vegetable medley with zucchini, squash, onion, garlic, and whatever sorts of seasoning you like. Chicken and beef dishes don't really excite me during the summer like seafood and fresh vegetables do.

Seared a flank and had it with a bunch of mushrooms. Came out good.

Grilled chicken breasts and sliced it thin over spinach. A few blue cheese crumbles and some vinagrette, tomatoes, cucumbers, and diced red onion.
Trying to implement some more of what Perricone promised.

First day back in the gym here as well. Been fighting and dealing with some old injuries. No lifting for me. Just cardio, swimming, and some stretching until I have enough of a baseline for weights.

re: Opus Vert 2.0 Baton Rouge Availability..

I've heard there will be no Opus Vert from brewery. Whatever large sale of Opus you're speaking of is not through a legitimate retail vendor.

Key stats from the final round at Royal Troon:
Stenson at his best would take Miller apart. Congrats on 63 in a Major, for the last round to get this win. What a day that was.
Key stats from the final round at Royal Troon:
quote:
• Stenson’s 264 total is the lowest 72-hole total score in major history. The previous low was 265 by David Toms at the 2001 PGA Championship, where Mickelson was also the runner up. • Stenson is the second player in history to shoot a final-round 63 in a major. Johnny Miller shot 63 in the final round of the 1973 U.S. Open at Oakmont to win.

Is that recent? She's aged well. I always thought she had the sexiest voice on Cheers. She was even sexier when she came back on Frasier, years later.
