He might have a chance at walking on somewhere though.
Baylor maybe? Two OT losses to the sooners. But more than likely Florida or Oregon. I’d lean Florida.
That’s the reason I can’t get along with alot of UGA fans

I watched until halftime, my fiancée is a Dorman grad, the kid can make something out of nothing, but at 5’8” he won’t get any offers unless he gets a growth spurt

I just don’t know how successful bobo can be here.... I’m still in the camp that thinks you can’t be conventional on offense here and have success. Our best years in history came from either the run and shoot days under Morrison, or spurriers time here.

I said this in the other thread but we can’t have an OC that works like everyone else, or has the same system as everyone else. I wish Muschamp would go ballsy and hire someone innovative like bob Stitt. If you don’t know who he is, go check out the other thread, I described him and linked a video for his philosophy

That would be the worst hire we could make

If muschamp wants to quiet the critics and show that he wants to win; and if he’s smart he knows this is his last shot to avoid being a career coordinator, this is the type of guy he needs. Hire Stitt, let him work, give him a year or two to get his system in place, and let’s roll.

I’d like someone who can take what we have and make it explode. We have offensive weapons that need creativity.
A name I’d love to see is Bob Stitt, his reputation has taken a hit because of struggling with Jake spavital at Texas state, but that’s a man that’s insanely creative and doesn’t have roots in any other offensive system

He’s known from d2 Colorado school of mines and fcs ranks as one of the most innovative offensive minds ever seen. Remember 70-33 years ago with wvu and Clemson? Half of the plays in that game that killed clemson holdgerson said came from this dude. I’ve watched a ton of Colorado mines fb when he was there, about went there on scholly, and the offense is so creative and fun that he just built out of air. He runs between 90-100 plays a game, only one or two formations, but uses motion and a lot of run and shoot concepts in the passing game that allow the receivers to run themselves open. With this guy, and his reputation across cfb is sort of a offensive cult guru, I think this would be an amazing hire. To see his style and his adaptability, check out on YouTube Montana vs NDSU 2015, it was the fcs kickoff game by itself that year.

Or watch this for his philosophy.

I don’t want mike bobo at all. I hate his scheme personally. I just don’t think you can win at a place like Carolina without innovation on offense. We can't try to run the same things everyone else does, we have to be different. We’re not Georgia or Alabama in recruiting, and that style works for those schools. A good comparison for us would be Oregon, historically. We need someone that can transform this offense into something that’s a special preparation, different than all these sec teams see every week. Hiring mike bobo is trying to be safe rather than trying to win.
Since the Georgia game in mid October, Ryan Hillinski has been playing on a torn meniscus and some sort of ACL injury, as well as an injury to his throwing elbow that the school considered Tommy John surgery for. I’ve had major knee issues like this, a torn meniscus is nothing to play with.

I think firing Werner is basically using him as a scapegoat for it all. He took a QB that clearly wasn’t 100% and wasn’t ready and made him at least competent. For all the grief Ryan gets he still went 5 games without a pick, which is impressive no matter what; even more so with the mash unit on offense.... helped Bentley to grow, and before 14INT is mentioned, he still seemed more comfortable and more sound mechanically than before.

They supposedly want graham harrell from so cal. I’d take him too.

OC rumors

I’m hearing rumors saying that we’re highly interested in joe Brady from LSU. What would be the reaction?
I think bob stitt is an amazing offensive mind, but my god you can’t do much with Texas state and the level of talent they are able to come in and scrape off the bottom. They get worse talent than a lot of fcs schools. He did well in the fcs and d2, I’d love to see his offense with 4-5 star guys.
Dan Werner, the man with the huge resume.... what is the consensus belief on him? Is he part of the problem or is he being hamstrung by everything else going on?
Pay me $75,000 and I will call all plays for the offense. I will allow Ryan a chance to redshirt and build an offense around the strength of Joyner, and run a spread/pistol option based offense to allow Ryan to redshirt and develop so that he may be a star in 2021.
Oh cool, I know a good defensive coach that we will give auburn.
There is more to this than meets the eye. Caslen is throwing hints as much as he can without saying the inevitable. Muschamp and tanner are out, there’s no way that they can stay past this year. There is just no way with the controversy around everything that caslen doesn’t cut ties. His image and the beginning of his tenure and his future relies on how he cleans up this shite show.
I believe if bmac and Werner are kept but muschamp is pushed out and someone else takes over as a ceo, those two will fix this offense.
Receivers yet again were running open. I find it amazing that McClendon is the scapegoat of all this. It’s muschamp plain and simple.
I’ve been screaming this for months. We have better QB talent than he has ever had, plus the Hilinski connection. Ryan is more talented and a more perfect fit in his air raid system than his brother was (rest easy Tyler) with good receivers and backs that can catch out of the backfield like he uses his backs. I think he would fit perfect from a roster and scheme fit.

re: Arky vs Rutgers... who you got?

Posted by chawk195 on 11/14/19 at 1:02 am to
God I remember how happy people were during the Schiano years at Rutgers... Piscataway was more crowded than I had ever seen it and people actually cared about football for once. My mom went to South Carolina and grew up here, I moved here in HS.
The way I interpret that is that both muschamp and tanner will he gone and that somehow the buyout will be covered. I was a fan of Caslen from the beginning and I believe that he’s the man that can build the university into what it’s potential is. I think he sees the issues causing mediocrity throughout the athletic department, mainly football as that is where his roots are; and will fix the issues. Hire a real AD, and let that AD find a good coach that will not accept mediocrity.
Well, there’s a new perspective in this. I just posted this over on the SC board, but the interview from our new university president linked below seems to indicate his views on muschamp and on the programs direction. Our new president is a former army general and player at West Point so football is one he takes pride in. Read for yourselves.

Greenville, SC newspaper interview with Gen. Robert Caslen
Caslen is committed to muschamp “until the end of the season”. After that he will evaluate the progress of the program and that a decision will be made from there. He talks about self inflicted penalties and turnovers as a key issue for this group, as well as a lack of discipline and fundamentals. Here is an article where he has a full interview with one of my local papers, read into it what you will.

Greenville online interview with President Caslen
Let me throw one more WR onto the list as one of the greatest we’ve ever had, Pharoh Cooper
He has dealt with the following QB’s in his tenure:
Perry Orth
Brandon Mcilwain
Jake Bentley and all of his inconsistencies
A freshman Ryan Hillinski

He’s broken records with that cast of arms.... I would say that helps his case.
It’s just confirmed at this point. Muschamp mantra of “we won’t be outworked” is biting him in the arse.
Mason Zandi has some viewpoints on what may be happening here

Zandi talks gamecocks

I think it’s a combo of this, and just the strength and conditioning program as a whole that’s causing the injuries, plus a lack of depth which pisses me and I’m sure a ton of you guys off because of the “best team here” comments.
