I have a cheap one from wally world and it works just fine. I started out with newspaper and now just use a starter stick to get the coals going. Either way is fine.

The ribs are pretty good, have had better before. Steaks have all been super everytime i have gotten one.
There used to be a Stockyard Cafe that was by the old miss. river bridge on the BR side. It was an actual stockyard with a little cafe in it. Not sure if it's the same place just reopening somewhere else or something different. Pretty good little place though with homemade type foods.
well since you said "shows", i would have to says 1210am with Jordy and Buddy. Other than Moscona being full of himself, I would say he has a descent show.
I take River Road, CC and then maybe....Dunkin.

Food is ok but yes, the place is very small. My wife and I went their a couple years ago and i think the table next to us was about 2 feet away, literally. We had to whisper just so the people next to us wouldn't hear anything we said.

NEVER EVER EVER store anything with tomato in a cast iron pot. Further more your pot better be very seasoned if you even plan on using tomato in it or be prepared to have a reaction to the tomato and the chili will taste like metal and even discolor a bit.
Couldn't agree more!!!
My wife works pretty close to the restaurant and they used to frequent it. She knew the daughter and says that she didn't want the hassle of running it, so they closed it. Not financial reasons.
try Tunica, it's a little drive to get to oxford, but lots of hotel's and casino's
T-BO, super cool dude. Huge LSU fan and pretty dang good softball player too.
