1. No, but it was a wedding present.
2. Like other people are saying it is very versatile. You can cook steaks at 700+ degrees or close the dampers and slow cook/smoke at 225 for hours. However, I would never suggest it as your only grill/bbq pit. I have a gas Weber also that I use for grilling burgers, sausage veggies, as the egg takes too long to use for everyday use.
3. Its hard to beat for slow cooking ribs or brisket.
4. Own 2 and have several hats. I sell them, so the coolers were half price from a yearly dealer special that Yeti runs.
