A much more sensible law would be to make bars specify with a sign on the front whether or not they allow smoking imo. Let the consumer decide

Interesting theory, I've thought about that a lot as well. Unlike the industrial revolution, the machines being created now don't create a job for everyone they replace. Therefore, I wonder if we are gonna hit some sort of breaking point with 30% unemployment because of automation or something.

Absolutely this. Kind of off topic but this logic also has me interested to see how the system is going to balance itself as robots are used increasingly in the work place. That is, couldn't companies kind of shoot themselves in the foot by moving towards automation by consequently shrinking their consumer base.

Damn why do they have to experiment on dogs. They should use monkeys and rats exclusively. I wouldn't have given a shite if I had seen some monkeys released in the wild for the first time.

The freedom they were able to enjoy for one. With the advent of camera phones, any mistake you make at any time can now be recorded and uploaded for the world to see. Anyone can now be a celebrity overnight (usually not in a good way), and I think this causes people to be a lot more guarded. Awful was probably a little harsh.

As a member of this awful generation, it has absolutely had a negative impact on how people interact. I can't tell you how many times I have been in a social setting where some people, surrounded by damn near all their friends, still insist on sitting on their phones for the better portion of the night (granted girls are the primary guilty party). It's a crutch for people if they feel uncomfortable and is an obstacle to actual interaction. In terms of intelligence, I guess it just depends how you use it.
