re: Recommendations for Exumas or Eleutheria vacation spots for family of 4 with adult kids

My family of 5(12,12, and 9 year old) just got back from Exuma on Monday. Rent a car to visit various beaches each day. We chased low tide at spots such as Cocoplum beach. All the beaches mentioned above were also our stops. We rented a boat for 2 days which was my initial draw to this island. Being able to captain and do as I please was exactly what I was after. Don’t miss this if decide on Exuma. It’s tough to beat some of the sights we ran across each day. Very little, if anybody on some of the beaches. I’d look at the Hideaways, Augusta Bay, February Point, Peace and Plenty to name a few.
My wife and I did Eleutheria 2 years ago. We stayed at the Cove which was a spectacular place. The island is extremely quiet with not much to do. We enjoyed it because we were mainly looking to relax. Daily I stumbled upon World class beaches that looked like hadn’t been visited in days.
We visited Harbour island one day and had a great time bar hoping and visiting other hotel properties. You can rent a golf cart to get around.

I was with some friends this weekend and she does 30+ day rentals in Midtown. She does so through Airbnb. Sounds like they have a 30+ day option for listings. I didn’t dig too much more Into it so hopefully this is good Info. She’s seemingly had a good experience with it.
