Bama will have to be undefeated and ranked No. 1 or No.2. to play for the 2013 NC. Lou Holtz has already commented that being the defending NC and being undefeated should not be enough for Bama to be defaulted into a No. 1 ranking because of the unimpressive way Bama is playing. If Bama is undefeated but ranked No. 3 or lower, than they won't get a shot at a three-peat.

SEC fatigue and envy are very profound so don't be so sure that an undefeated Bama team is a shue-in to play for the NC, if they are not ranked No.1.

This season's NC game

Even if Bama goes undefeated, if any two of these teams (Clemson,Stanford,Oregon or tOSU) are undefeated, I won't be surprised if Bama doesn't make it to the NC game.
He might have been reading from a script someone else wrote. In any event, the "sucker-punched" remark did seem designed to make Hill look like he not only provoked the incident, but that he did it in a cowardly way.
No one seems to be talking about what a big contribution UGA's field goal made to their victory. Without it, and with everything remaining the same, we would've at least gone to OT.

UGA's 55-yard field goal made the difference between a loss and OT. In the NCAA, a field goal of that length is very rare.
After this season, Manziel, Mettenberger, McCarron and Murray all leave for the NFL.

Hope springs eternal, but doubtful.
What would be better is to move the SEC's office from Birmingham to Nashville. Vandy will never be a football power, and TN seems like it won't be, either, for a long time to come. Thus, it wouldn't matter much if their graduates disproportionately populated the SEC's staff. Also, you wouldn't have the vast majority of the football refs living in Gumpland.
How do they get 2 BYEs in the same season?
or when we played the Gumps for the NC
67,179 posts? Really? For your sake, I hope that's a misprint and that the actual number is tens of thousands less than that.
was caused, in no particular order, by:

(1) Lack of a leader who could keep them organized;
(2) Not knowing their individual assignments;
(3) Not having as much talent as we want to believe they have;
(4) Inexperience;
(5) Poor preparation by the coaching staff;
(6) Ineffective adjustments by the coaching staff during the second half; and
(7) The DL's inability to create an effective pass rush, which allowed UGA to exploit the persistent state of confusion in our defensive secondary

Get used to it, 9-3 or 8-4 will be the outcome of the 2013 season along with an appearance in a second-rate bowl game that only the guys going into the NFL draft will want to play in. The end of Miles' tenure can't come soon enough.
It's going to be 9-3, but don't be surprised if it's 8-4.

Miles will get 1 or 2 more years. This year is looking like 9-3 or 8-4, which is what I predicted last August.
...and a "55-yard" field goal by UGA
