In it's entirety, the apology was perfectly fine. But whoever wrote that should not have led off with "I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend - for not being more careful and candid with how I described the events of that morning..." It starts off like he's basically just apologetic that he got caught lying instead of being apologetic for all his behavior that night.

After hearing Lochte talk in other interviews I am of the opinion he had NO part in writing that apology. Way too many 3 and greater syllable words.
