The downside to these score fast teams is that the offense has trouble controlling the clock and their defense ends up being on the field longer. So, what if a team like LSU or Alabama or Oklahoma did the Pulaski thing? These teams' offenses could pretty much score at will while their defenses are average to above average. I know it would never happen but a team with a great offense that did this would keep the ball much longer and score just as often. They would still have the advantage of stretching the field and not getting bogged down in the red zone like the other team's would face. The other team would probably score fairly often but not all the time. I'd offer that the score fast team's defense would be on the field less and might even be more amped up to stop a team on their own half of the field. In this scenario, giving up FG's would always be a win.

Dude is lame. The whole tradition of TSIO is lame AF as well. I can't believe the whole conference is held hostage because Bama just HAS to play both TN and AU. Unfrick yourselves SEC administrators in Birmingham.

I think he's right. Keep the ball away from your opponent is the most effective defense.

This actually has some merit. There is nothing Tennessee can do to stop Alabama from scoring from their own 2 or from midfield. Why punt, and why not try insides kicks. They at least have a chance to keep the ball.

He's talking about Pulaski Academy... and he's right, they never punt.

He better go Les Miles Run 70% of the time and let the play clock run down as much as possible... just to keep the score down
