It’s not going to change because red states will continue to vote for the sycophantic do-nothings who focus on bullshite culture wars issues or whichever asinine ideas pop into Trump’s addled brain.

It was the same do nothing culture wars with the other group of dummies running the show. Politicians care nothing about anything except maintaining and growing their self-perceived importance, power and personal wealth. Need huge party reform. States pay their own state-determined representative pay. Reps must spend 6+ months in their state districts. Set term limits. Strict campaign spending limits. And, no pay due for months they miss votes or committee hearings. No paid attendance for anything other than travel (economy), hotel and per diem. End the days of lifetime politicians truly tgt corruption.... oh, a boy can dream

What a waste of our hard-earned tax dollars - for those of us who actually have to pay taxes. The freeloaders can frick off.

They care about something as trivial as this, but they can't pass the Save Act? Corrupt, bought-and-paid-for bastards.

The NCAA, certain judges, and the universities have done such a bang-up job themselves, they've basically invited someone to straighten out the mess.

While Lane Kiffin is the scape-goat for the hiring proposal, well over 90% of coaching hires ever would be in violation.

Even before the NIL and Transfer Portal existed and before Signing Day was moved to Dec, the vast majority of coaching hires happened before bowl games.

These are the only types of hires that would be legit:

1984: Jimmy Johnson hired by Miami
2005: Les Miles hired by LSU
2024: Kalen DeBoer hired by Alabama

In each case, the departing coach (Schnellenberger, Saban, and Saban) left voluntarily late in the coaching carousel.

College football season should end on Jan 1 or 2 in the Rose Bowl or Superdome.

Giving them until Jan 8 is the perfect compromise of shite. If you're going to dictate shite, at least dictate the correct position.
